Infant feeding

What do I do about that big night feed, and refusal to feed in the morning?

Hi,

My DS is 6mo. He has never liked to feed on morning wake up at about 6 to 7 and will always take his first feed at 9 ish(he has a small amount of breakfast at 7.30 to 8)He has always woken up between 3 and 4 for the biggest bf ever. He is usually a five minute feeder but will feed and properly feed at this time for about 10 to 20 mins. This will be why he isn't hungry in a morning. With a dependency on this night feed it seems he may not sleep through for a good while yet. Any advice on how to tweak this? It might set the day better with a morning feed.

He is on three meals a day and recently I realised he didn't need a DF at 11 as it made no difference to when he woke in the night. I will get it ready however(it's a bottle) if he sometimes wakes for it.

Cheers

I must say, it does sound pretty normal. Most babies do wake at 6 months.
