Infant feeding

Ok, so here's my plan re dropping the breastfeeding. Does it sound ok?

I know all babies are different blah blah blah, but bf is a whole new territory for me as ds1 was ff.As such, he had very regimented milk at ds2's current age, rather than being fed on demand. So I'm not sure about this whole weaning off the breast malarky!

So, ds2 is 10 months, and for the last 4-5 weeks he's had a bottle of formula before bed, and one in the night (after a huge trauma to find a bottle he'd take). For various reasons i'm thinknig its about time to draw the bf to a close. Does this sound about right?:
5am 8oz bottle
7am brekkie and water
11am snack and water (or bottle??)
1pm lunch and water
3pm 8oz bottle
5pm tea and water
7pm 8oz bottle

Plus night bottle if needed.

Also, do these reasons sound enough to stop bf, to you independant observers:
Want my body back re weight loss
The appearance of teeth 3 and 4 is leading to a few bites which look to get worse the longer I carry on
Dh can then feed ds2 anytime, not just the new nightbottles, and I can spend more time with ds1 again, who I've felt very distanced from since ds2 was born as dh had to loook after him for the week I was in hosp and he became Daddy's boy.

Thanks for that.
I'm also wondering what to do about the fact that whenever he's upset, he just gets the instant gratification of a boob Is it going to really traumatize him to have to learn to get over things with a cuddle?

no probs.

i don't think it will traumatise him as such but he may be a little upset at the changes. i'm sure you will be fine. if you at all concerned talk things over with your hv tho judging by some of the stories on here, you may be better off talking to mn if she not v.good!
