Brushing teeth and night feeds

Need some advice. DS's first two teeth have broken through in the last couple of days . He is 6 month old tomorrow and exclusively breastfeed. I've read through some of the leaflets that Childsmile gave me and it mentions that I should brush his teeth before going to bed and avoid feeding until the morning, but DS usually wakes up a couple of times during the night for a feed. So what should I do about brushing his teeth? Do I brush them after each night feed even though it will probably wake him up (he usually falls asleep while feeding) or do I just brush them before bed and then again in the morning?

I wondered that too Joannie. here is what Kellymom.com says about breastfeeding and tooth decay I wonder if the leaflet you read is more applicable to bottle feeding? I decided not to stress about it too much and I brush ds's teeth after bath and before his night time feed. He doesn't like getting his teeth brushed, so I feel that doing that after he has been all cosy and comfy breastfeeding is unfair.

That's great mawbroon - super link. I really don't want to brush his wee teeth during the night as he isn't a great sleeper and wakes up easily with the slightest disturbance - it would take me forever to get him over again. Thank you

(I've not read the Broons for years, will have to dig out some of the annuals - for some reason the Broons makes me feel Christmassy)
