Infant feeding

DS 6 month old - painful when BF - HELP!!!

I have exclusively BF my DS for the last 6 motnhs and had help with attachment and positioning at the beginning, all was going well (save for bouts of thrush and mastitis!!) until the last few days when it has been really painful. I suspect he has teeth coming through and is using me as a teething ring but it is making me feel really grazed and tender. What can I do to stop it? Will it get worse when the teeth actually pop through? I really want to continue feeding as long as possible.

ds bit a few times, i pull him to me to break the latch, but now he thinks its a game, so i just take him off and end the feed there and then.

I don't know the answer bojangles, but if you look here on kellymom.com you might find the answer to your problem. It covers "not really biting but scraping teeth and indentations" too so hopefully it will be of some help to you.
