why is my 20 week old baby so windy? so much for the MW who told me that BF babies don't get wind! I have just spent nearly 2 hours trying to get him to take a nap. every time i laid him down, he grizzled. every time i picked him up he did 2 or 3 burps. argh. have tried gripe water but it was no use. i thought they started to get less wind at this age !!!

MW dumbass alert!!!
bf babies get just as much wind as bottle feds!

Mine is 5mths and still needs burping 10 mins into a feed, and again at the end. Greedy little piggy!

Well, shoot me, but that doesn't sound like wind to me...sounds more like a baby who doesn't really want to have a nap and is more comfortable being held close to mum. Burps could be a result of the grizzling, not the other way round

Bf babies do of course take in air when they breathe and feed, just as every human being does throughout their life

my dd is like that too and it's not just the burping!! she just seems to constantly have to burp or fart, I've never seen anything like it.

We had complete meltdown at bathtime last night because he was so tired! And of course lots of wind
