Fed up with mammoth 3am feeds!

Please help! My DD is 6 weeks old now but this has been a similar pattern since birth. Last night she went to sleep at about midnight. She woke at 3:30 for a feed, latched on well and fed for 25 mins, and fell asleep. I winded her and tried gentle stimulation - blowing on her face, tickling her feet, tapping her bottom. Stayed sleeping, so put down. Woke up immediately, brought back to breast but drowsy so difficult to latch, eventually latched and fed for another 10 minutes. Did the same winding/gentle stimulation again, seemed deeply asleep so put down. Woke 10 minutes later this time, and fed again. Fell asleep again, woke up again, is currently feeding. So we've been at it nearly 2 hours now! It seems she's not effectively feeding at night, presumably because she's too sleepy? But if I wake her fully she's wide awake and thinks it's playtime and won't go down either! I know when she eventually drops off and stays asleep now she'll probably wake within an hour or so too. It's driving me bonkers! Daytime feeds take 45-60 minutes so it's just this one that's so long and I'm not sure how to improve things Confused Sad

I remember this stage. If she's feeding well during the day then just go through ot, she will grow out of it.

Have you considered safe co sleeping and do you nap when she does?

Aw little tiny bebe! Sorry but just something you'll have to ride out. Know it's bloody knackering but sleep during day and look after yourself and it'll fly by. I miss all that. Sigh.

Can you feed laying down then leave her next to you? The waking might not be for more milk just to get back snuggled up to you?

As long as she will grow out of it I can probably cope... Smile she goes to sleep in the Bednest but by 5am she is usually in bed with me and feeding side-lying, she doesn't latch as well there and swallows loads of air unfortunately, so then I have to put up with her stinky farts!

Must remember to enjoy the snuggles I know!

Thanks all x
