Projectile Voming: HELP!

Bf Ds aged 7 weeks has projectile vomitted morning feed for 2 days in a row. Seems generally ok and no temperature. Does anyone know what this could be?? Overfeeding? Wind?

could be overfeeding altho' is it technically impossible to overfeed a BF baby???? projectile vomiting is a classic sign of reflux (as is squirming during feeds, writhing, drawing knees up etc etc). If he seems generally ok could be that these are isolated incidents and nothing to worry about - if it carries on you should discuss possibility of reflux with HV or GP

Agree with taylormama.

My DS projectile vomited now and again after being particularly greedy or overly comfort sucking. Remember one classic when it went literally from one side of the lounge to the other (was amazed that someone so small could produce that much force!!). There was nothing sinister as it only happened occasionally.

My DD has never, to date, projectile vomited to the same extent as DS. Maybe it's a bloke thing?!

How long since last night feed is the morning feed? If he fed well at night maybe you don't need to give him a feed straight away in the morning? I notice with my DD (17 wks) that she seems to feed longer at night. Last feed is approx 4.30-5ish and by 8.00 getting up time she doesn't want a lot.

Hope this helps.
