Fussiness feeding on Left breast

Hi, Id like to get some advice please? My left side has always been my least favourite side to feed my 7wk old son. I go between the two in equal measures though. Yday morning he v reluctantly fed from left but pulled faces and gagged when he did. He has been cluster feeding continously since last night and left breast seemed fine again. Tonight he is incredibly fussy and frustrated while at the left breast and wonder if it could be the flow is too fast. Ive tried lying back but nothing helping. Right is perfect.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Hi blank. I have problems feeding from my left side too! Flow is definitely faster and LO often pulls off during a feed and does the noisy gagging. Horrible!
He is 12 weeks now and it has got better over time (not sure if flow has regulated with supply!) but I did find that positioning him so his head was higher than his body helped a bit if that makes sense. My friend with a similar problem swore by expressing a bit off that side before a feed.
Good luck, hoping it gets easier for you too Smile

I had this problem at the start with DD too - I think it was a combination of how I was holding her (it always seemed easier on the other side), fast flow and likely me compounding the issue by convincing myself there was actually something wrong that side she disliked it so much! Grin I did express a little before starting her on that side for a week or two, but I think what helped most was simply persevering until we both got used to it - she's 6 months now and feeding is a breeze on either side :)
