How much formula should my 9 week old be having?

Hi! I've had to stop breastfeeding a week ago due to a couple of reasons and I've started my DD on formula. I'm just a bit confused as to how much she should be having per day and how long between feeds? Right now it's about 5oz every 3 hours (depending on length of her nap) Is this normal? Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks.

Think it's roughly 2.5floz per 1lb of weight so if she's 8lb its 20floz in a day. You are supposed to ff on cue to, just like Bfing

Hi! Thanks for the advice. She's taking about 28- 30oz in 24hours. She usually has 5 bottles of 5oz in the day and one breastfeed in the night . I'm hoping this is about right?! I'm getting her weighed tomorrow so I'll ask then.

Yes it sounds about right to me, just let her have as much as she wants, whenever she wants.

Does she finish the 5oz bottles? If so, try going up to 6oz and see if she wants more.

Sometimes she finishes them in one go and sometimes she takes about 3oz then another oz or 2 an hour later! It's difficult to know! :)
