Did having surgery impact on BFing or with your milk supply

I posted in Chat for traffic to start with but someone suggested here would be better.

Looking for some advice and hand holding. Nervous about op and repercussions.

I am having a microdiscectomy (45min surgery on my spine under a general anaesthetic).

If you've had surgery, did you find the shock of the surgery impacted on your milk?

If you had to take strong drugs and you had to pump and dump while they were in your system did it impact on your supply or make your baby not want to breastfeed anymore?

If so how long did you have to bottle feed your DC and how old were they?
