Sad about stopping breast feeding

The time has cone, for several reasons, to move 20week old DS2 onto formula.12 weeks but it was hard and painful. This time it has gone perfectly and I've really enjoyed it. We've gradually been weaning DS2 onto formula and tonight's night feeds are my last breast feeds.

I know it's the right thing to doubt I'm really going to miss it and feel teary every time I think about it. Does anyone have any tips on not feeling so sad about it?

If it's 'gone perfectly and you've really enjoyed it' then why stop altogether? By now your supply will be established so even if you have to return to work you could keep feeding when together. Smile

Feeling sad is normal I think - I felt sad when I stopped feeding, my head knew it was the right decision and my heart only caught up once all those pesky hormones had left my system. Once I'd stopped I didn't feel any regret, if that helps? It's ok to feel sad and reflective, but those feelings won't last and you'll soon be onto enjoying the next chapter with your little one Smile
