Just wondering if anyone has tried herbal tea specially formulated to get into breast milk to reduce wind, stimulate milk etc? I have been given some by a herbalist but am a bit apprehensive about effects on dd as I know herbs can have side effects and not be well tested. It contains fennel, raspberry leaf, peppermint, chamomile among others.

You might get some experiences recounted on here which will help, MsPea, but I would be amazed if the herbal ingredients actually got into the milk in anything like a 'therapeutic' dose for your baby, still less in an amount to cause any problems with overdosing or side effects.....but individuals' experiences may appear to indicate the opposite.

If the herbalist is qualified and experienced, you can be pretty sure the stuff he has given you is safe. But its efficacy, once it gets through your own digestive system, has got to be questioned (IMHO)
