Help.. My 10 day old is breast feeding but my breasts keep over filling, she feeds often and is bk to her birth weight but she doesn't empty my breast in a feed, what can I do to get them empty and to stop them being engorged? Thanks.

Congratulations on the birth of your little one, you may find joining your local le leche league or reading information that they publish on breast feeding helpful. Some tips to help reduce engorgement can be found here. Your supply will calm down, it just takes time for hormones to regulate after birth and for other fluids in your breasts to reduce. I found that when mine were as little as your dd I sometimes had to encourage drinking by at stroking their cheeks as they would fall back to sleep before emptying a breast.

Good luck with breast feeding, you are doing great!

Thank you for the advice, it's all so new to me, my little boy couldn't bf as he was badly tongue tied, but I'm determined to see it through this time as I feel such a strong bond.
