Breastfeeding my 14 months and feeling guilty about wanting to stop.........

My DD is now 14 months and I've breastfed her from day one......I'm struggling now though and for the last week I've been thinking about stopping. I've got 4 DC and I normally feed for about 3 years but this time it's just so draining.......does anyone else feel like this??
I know I'd feel guilty if I stopped because I fed the others for so long, is it just a phase that will go away........Hmm

Please dont feel guilty... you've given all your children the best possible start in life already. I felt the same when I stopped bf all be it much earlier. But it passed and it actually helped my dh strengthen his bond with my little one as he was able to do everything I could.

Thanks, that made me feel so much better Smile
I think that about my DP as well because right now he does nothing!

I'm on DC3 (14 months) and fed the other two until they self weaned but even though I quite like the closeness with him when I feed him it's also feeling like more of a strain this time.
He's fine at nursery and will go without it if we're out, so I guess I'm lucky in that respect but it still feels too much sometimes. I think that after 3DC in 4 years I just want my body back!
I would also feel guilty if I stopped and I'm too lazy to so don't know the answer bit you're not alone!

That's exactly how I feel......I'm utterly drained at times and I'd like my body back too but I feel guilty for thinking like that! Hmm It's so hard especially because she's defo my last one so I'll never feed again........

Ditto - no more for me either.
I have mixed feelings about stopping feeding - I'll be glad to be 'free' again but I'm sure I'll miss the snuggles (and the chance to lie down!) :)
