How long did you breastfeed til?

Including mixed feeding, if you did it.

Just curious really.

Can mention all those you have BF'd.

I am at 8 months so far and as long as she doesn't start biting, I'm hoping I can get another 3 or 4 months in.

Sorry, being nosy.

dd1 13 months
dd2 8 months (she stopped, suspect now it was a strike and she'd have started again if I'd offered but didn't know any better at the time)
dd3 22 months
ds 26 months

Still going at nearly 15 months. Although not in the day- just an all night buffet!

Currently at 17 months. Started mix feeding at 10 months and it hasn't interfered at all. We're on 2 a day at the mo (morning/late afternoon or after nursery) but occasionally have an extra or skip one. I'm planning to continue until DS self-weans (given the strength of will he has now I have no idea how I would get him to stop in any case!)

DS1 12 months
DS2 just under 2 years
DS3 about 3 years - but only occasional evenings by the end

Ds 26 months. Was excellent and only 2 feeds a day from 18 mths onwards, but so useful when he was poorly or needed calming.

Oh and you can stop the biting if they start- that doesn't have to be the end of it!

About 2.5 years, a little more maybe.

1st 11 months,2nd 12 months then 13 months for last one. They all tried the biting mostly with a gleam in the eye a sharp NO!!! usually gave them enough of a shock to stop!!

Not as long as a couple on Mumsnet (I'm sure they'll be on soon) but a lot longer than most

5.5 years (including tandem feeding for 3 years)

11 months this time so far, never intended to, but she just looks so so content I wouldn't have the heart to deprive her

13 months. It was stressing me out too much by the end so I gave up. I'm glad I fed her for as long as I did but equally glad I stopped when I did.

DS 8 months, but after that he didn't have much milk, night feeds stopped very soon after BFing!

DD1 5 months, was struggling with supply and going back to work

DD2 about 3 months EBF then about 6 weeks more mixed feeding although I was back at work.

dd - 4.6yrs
ds - 6yrs

Do I win? Grin

(they still didn't self-wean BTW - dd had a sticker chart - a Christmas tree to add baubles to - and with ds I went away for a few days hols with a friend - to the Lakes since you ask!)

Dd1 - 1 year
Dd2 - 3 years and 3 weeks! And sometimes regret giving up too. Was my decision and I know Dd would happily carry on even though we stopped nearly a year ago!

dc1 - four and a half years
dc2 - three years

Two and a bit years of that was tandem feeding. The end in each case was a combination of interest gradually tailing off and me giving them a little push in the right direction.

8 months. We seemed to both want to stop at the same time, and I went back to work full time, coincided with teeth...various factors really. I was a bit sad but it was right for us.

"Do I win?"

Close but I know someone on Mumsnet who fed a year or two longer.

I'm aiming to convince my DD to give up by 6. She said she will when her teeth fall out (I so wish she'd self wean).

Quite early, about 2mths. This was maybe due to dd and ds never latching on and me using a breast pump until I ran dry. Sad

DC1 13 weeks. I struggled and gave up really.
DC2 2 years and a bit. Struggled for different reasons but had great support - from here - that made a vast difference Grin
