DS 2.9 - losing his ability to latch?

DS has two feeds a day, morning and evening (and in between if desperate!). Last few days whenever he's been feeding he doesn't seem to latch properly, it's almost as if there is no 'suction' at the breast.

Surely he can't be losing his ability to latch on at this age?

hmmm, unlikely I think. Is his mouth hurting (molars coming through?). OR is his noseblocked (hayfever?)

Yes sorry he is 2.9 years! He has all his teeth, I am wondering if he was getting the beginning of a cold and his nose was blocked but I didn't realise.

Now he has a cold he's feeding fine.

I thought it was the beginning of the end but apparently not
