Not tried them but I used lansinoh with a little bit of clingfilm on top. I told my midwife and she said it was like aversionof the healing breast pads (wet healing). I googled it and others have found it helpful, though some have found it worsened thrush. Also ideas paranoid abouts king sure all traces had gone before BF.

Hope you heal up soon.

Sorry - should have said I was paranoid about making sure all clingfilm gone before BF - it can tear.

I used jelonet to help with wet healing. Healed them within a day or two.

Iveused them, and found they helped with healing and felt cooling. You need to sort the cause of the soreness first though. Is the latch ok?

I found then really helpful - the lansinoh ones were great, the tommee tippee ones were horrible - they were really sticky.

I haven't used them. But I found nipple shields really useful when I was really sore these are the ones I use

Tomorrow I will get nipple shields and some type of gel dressing

I think the latch I
s ok, just been in a hurry to feed him so need to take my time make sure he's on ok

It's actually not as sore as yesterday so hopefully I can heal quick.

I agree, the shields aren't recommended usually because they can mess up your supply, better to speak to someone in RL before you use them. The hydrogel ones I had were the tommee tippee ones which I thought were good. They are sticky though but it's only a temporary measure until you heal.

www.multi-mam.co.uk/ I used these compresses and found them brilliant. Just leave in your bra for a few hours, and it felt SO much better....

Yes yes yes to hydrogel discs. Amazing. Wish I had known about them 2 years ago! Like magic. I can't recommend enough.

Multi mam compresses were the only thing that helped me, like shatter said. I used them for about 6 weeks. But I agree you need to speak to bf counsellor about latch, DS latch on the left was terrible and not until I sorted that did they heal. Sorry you're in pain.

You poor thing :(

I had a very sore nipple that turned out to be infected- antibiotic cream (from doc), jelonet and lasinoh (plus expressing from that side) healed it in a few days.

Kellymom has some good info on nipple healing.
