Infant feeding

10 month old dropping feeds

My 10 month old dd (fully breast fed) is now down to feeding once in the morning and once at night.

She has recently dropped mid-morning feed and now lost interest in mid-afternoon feed. I kept offering for a little while but just got pointless as she would just try and climb over me.

My main concern is if she is getting enough from 2 feeds ?
Do i need to supplement her with anything ? she eats plenty of solids

my 9 1/2 month also recently did this, though occasionally climbs all over me for a mid afternoon feed, but i think he just wants the cuddle. (or when he's teething and wants some comfort) he has three good meals a day and i also give him a healthy snack at the times when he used to have milk, about 11 and 3. he will eat a peach, or some apple or a rice cake, and have a drink of water.
his energy levels are the same as they always were and naps too.

i wouldnt worry - unless this coincides with changes in behaviour - dips in energy or something like that.
i think its hard when you have breastfed for so long to be 'rejected' in this way - but on the positive side - your dd is just gaining independance and can now get reasurance, cuddles, as well as nutrition from other people he is close to and in other ways.

i now love my morning and evening feeds so much, and am enjoying not being so restricted in the day.

My 8 month old ds has virtually dropped all his daytime feeds, also choosing to breastfeed AM and PM only. If I give him milk in the day he cannot eat all of his main meals. He seems happy with this arrangement and I am sustaining my milk fine so far. My health visitor says this is fine and normal at his age. She recommends lots of calcium-rich foods, such as fromage frais, yoghurt or cheese sauce meals to make up for less breastmilk.

My 9 1/2 month daughter has suddenly stopped breast feeding. She has always refused a bottle/cup but 2 days ago she refused to feed from me anymore. She was having 4 feeds a day so it's pretty uncomfortable for me.Has this happened to anyone else?
