Is the tiny white thing upside down? The flat bit should be underneath. That's always the reason for me, anyway.

have you still got the instructions - if it's not put together exactly right it won't work. like NQC says, double check the tiny white thing. have you tried kinda leaning over so your boob hangs into it iyswim - i thought that seemed to help keep a seal. having said that - i did all this and never managed a drop. didn't really perserve that much though...

Sometimes I have to unscrew the bottle and push the little white thing back in as it often slips out slightly. Also check the thing with 'let-down petals' is on properly; ie, a tight seal all the way around.

I take that out (the 'massager') usually I get a much better seal without it

now dd3 is waking up Angry so thats my expressing window gone

Mine did this yesterday oddly enough.

Check all the silicon bits for wear.

sorry, but i have to laugh. this is exactly what i said - then threw it across the room and have never tried again Blush

do consider as well though that you'll prob not express if you are uptight/cross/emotional

count to ten, take relaxing deep breaths, think nice thoughts of cooing babies and try again... then throw the bloody thing in the bin Grin

its just not 'pulling' my nipple

let down going all over the place

it keeps catching it, sucking it then the suction goes and it pumps uselessly

can you sell them on Ebay? I only bought the bloody thing the other day

Enid, have you tried putting the spare parts in? You get an extra rubbery bit that goes on top of the plastic section which you screw onto the bottle. It should be in a bag along with the extra white dots (sorry, it's been a while, so I hope I'm remembering correctly). I had this problem and tried the spare ones and it worked. But then again the old ones and the new ones got mixed up at a later date and they both worked. Anyway, worth a try when you get a chance...

Take it apart and put it back together again.

Make sure there's nothing caught between the white valve or and of the silicone bits. Mine seems to be OK now having taken it apart and rinsed it off - think the little valve was the problem.

Also, make sure your bra isn't caught in the funnel bit, that makes a terrible mess!!

I always put mine together straight out of the sterliser as when it was wet it seemed to create more suction between the plastic petal contraption thing and the pump.

Agree on white thing being upside down, double check.

Make sure boob pointing in properly!

Try again later, don't stress, it took me a while AND when I got it right, my two little sods refused all bottles POINT BLANK!!!!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

The smal little rubbery/slicone bit near the tiny white bit (forgive me if I sould vague - it's nearly 5 years since I last expressed! Grin) might have a tiny hole in it. That happened to me once: couldn't work out why the suction was so awful (was a dab hand at puttingin the thing together by that time - has been doing it for over 6 months) and it was only the following day that I realsied what the problem was. Replaced the part and it was fine.
