Nipples!

Not sure where to put this but wondered if any ladies out there had any tips for extremely sore nipples (resulting from bf)

So much so that I'm now exclusively expressing as cannot have baby girl anywhere near my nipples they are cracked, bleeding and scabbed Sad

I have lansinoh which I am using religiously after every express and cabbage (although this is mainly to keep nipples from rubbing on my bra as that is excruciating)

anything else anyone can recommend to heal them quicker??

What day are you on?

I had this at the start and they began to improve after the first week or so.

Be really strict with yourself with the latch. If you are uncomfortable, start again even if your baby is peacefully sucking away.

I found very soft bamboo reusable breast pads that felt cool and soothing against my nipples.

Jelonet was my saviour. Very cheap from chemist helps keep nipples moist while healing so stops then sticking to everything.

I was allergic to lanolin! So it didn't help me heal!

Yes, Jelonet. I also found Bepanthen nappy cream bizarrely good...

hand express a few drops of milk and (gently! ) rub into nipple, seal with lansinoh - works surprisingly well Smile

No advice but congratulations pinky! Grin
Have you tried offering her the breast with nipple shields?

Another vote for Jelnet here! Healed my cracked, weepy, bleeding nipples extremely quickly! Just put a postage stamp size piece on each nipple when not feeding.

Hi faith! Yea but my boobs are mahoosive and nipples flat so they don't sit right have decided to stick with the expressing as it works a treat and baby still gets the breast milk
