I've been reading up about one-sided feeding because I found a connection between that and windy babies. The thing is, I'm not sure whether I do have much of an over-supply/overly fast letdown but I do know I have a very windy baby.
He has trouble getting wind up then suffers badly with trapped wind that has to be shifted before he can poo, which he seems to want to do after each feed (if not the whole time!). We seem to be in a bit of a vicious circle at the mo cos:
when feeding he breaks off early to concentrate on pushing (or trying to push) out the wind and poo so
he perhaps gets less of the creamier milk which perhaps means
he gets more lactose which makes him windy...
Please could Tiktok or someone let me know whether they think one-sided feeding could help with this without compromising my supply too much? BTW he is a bit gulpy at the beginning of a feed and sometimes chokes a bit, which I suppose might indicate fast letdown but it's one of those things that's impossible to compare with anyone else so I'm not really sure.
Any help would be much appreciated
