DD is 23mo and I do "don't offer, don't refuse", but she still bfs loads.
She went from gradually dropping feeds and length of feeds in favour of more, larger meals of solids, to the opposite. She's had neverending colds for the last 2 months so I understand that she is unsettled but she is now bfing a lot (a long one in the morning, mid-morning, a long lunch time one, mid-afternoon, a long one in the evening and bf to sleep, she also wakes up during the night to bf although these tend to be short). She is also refusing foods she previously ate happily, e.g. refusing all meats at the moment but still eating fruit, vegetables, pasta/rice and loads of bread (bread seems to be a hit no matter what).
Is this just normal fussiness? I don't want to stop bf, but I can't keep up this level of bf, it's like having a baby again. Also I worry about her not eating sources of iron (she was severely anemic in the autumn and was given iron supplements for three months. She ate huge amounts of meat during these months and ended up being off the other end of the scale - we are waiting for repeat blood tests which can't be done while she has a cold so everything is on hold).
