Thanks MrsN!

So far tonight since 9pm.....3 feeds totalling 3hrs (but still going strong), 7 transfers (5 failed), 4hrs sleep, 2 nappies, 5 dark choc digestives, 1 greedy baby & a very very sleepy mummy.

Where the hell is that sleepy dust when I need it?

Thanks for new thread mrsn!

I have been up every 20 mins putting Ewan back on since 3am and now up for the day! babyfunch just cannot sleep past 3 at the moment. Still at my dad's but home today so may improve tonight but we are off to friends in Essex tomorrow for the weekend. So a bit ambitious but worth it to see good friends.

Also admiring your restraint with the biscuits SoYo. They would not have lasted the night if left within my reach. Wishing you luck and sleepydust...

funchum hope you managed to catch some Zs before 3am...

Morning all.
Babythorne feeding now. Had a couple of night feeds and failed transfers but tbh I lose track in the night.
Ds here too. He was up a couple of times ( Shock in lieu of frazzled emoticon) thankfully dh got up to him as I was feeding.

Well done on exercising willpower. My days of eating sugary snacks are over too. But it's soooo hard with ebf and sleep deprivation.

Wow part 9! Well we have a consistent annoying pattern developed at night
7-1030/11pm In cot
11pm 7oz bottle
11-2am in cot
2am-3am cannot resettle
3am-530 in my bed
530-730 fidgets and kicks in my bed and I get no sleep!
He doesn't usually want a bottle at 2/3 if I make one! Just wish we could get rid of that waking Confused any suggestions welcome! He woke up DD and then she came in bed for cuddles to kick me at 6! X

Thanks for new thread mrsn :)

larle I read The Host a while back, I'm interested to see how they made a film out of it since the book is largely made up of the main character's inner monologue. It was ok though, not as good (or bad, depending on your stance!) as Twilight. Have a fab time enjoying well earned time off.

We've had a few quite good nights recently so I've been a bit absent, she's going down around 7 and stiring a few times but we've managed to resettle without boob finally, then usually feeds around 11, 3 and often 5 but if I bring her into bed she'll have a half feed and drop off again. Slowly clawing our way into the realm of normal, non sleep deprived people. Three weeks until I'm back at work, really hoping to drop one night feed by then.

I missed the last few pages of the old thread, hope everyone's doing ok. mrsn did you hear about your job? marbles hope work's going ok for you. and chocolate hobnobs to everyone.

Heff xx

God Funch, I thought my night was bad but up at 3 is not good, I'm so impressed you're still coping & leaving the house during the day.

As much as the night was long & she fed from5.30-6.30 again, he then whinged & groaned for 45mins but I stayed strong & left her in her Moses basket & she finally fell asleep & woke up 10 mins ago! Result!

Have a good day everyone. X

Anypants · 11/04/2013 14:03

MrsN - have you heard yet?
We had a reasonable night after all but, despite the sleep deprivation, I couldn't get much as DD was literally 'straining' her way through the night. She was asleep and only woke up to feed but I couldn't switch off. She finally had a bit of an explosion about an hour ago (clean babygro put on half hour earlier will need to be incinerated now... Shock ) so I hope that's all it was!

Oh mrsn its rubbish that they haven't called, especially after saying they would! I think if it was me I'd have to call or email tomorrow to double check just in case but I don't know if that's what others would do? Fingers still crossed for you.

anypants poor dd, we had a similar night of straining but still no explosion as yet, expect ill get a lovely wake up call tonight instead.

amey hope dd is better soon poor love, its so horrible when they're ill :(

Bedtime feed here, feeling a little sad as DM has just left for a long awaited three week hol to South Africa with her friend and she won't be back until the day I return to work so I'm not only going to miss her lots but it feels now that work is so close already.

Sleepy dust all, especially your way at around 3am funch !

Doesn't look like I'm going to cinema, baby larle won't settle and DH isn't happy with the amount of milk I've managed to express. I tried but couldn't get anymore. Feel shit and trying really hard not to cry Hmm

Report
Anypants · 11/04/2013 19:57

Oh no larle - don't get upset. It's mentally exhausting when you just want a break but the gods conspire against you but be assured it'll be better tomorrow. Can you go to the flicks tomorrow instead, express some more this evening or tomorrow morning and add that to today's effort?

Report
Anypants · 11/04/2013 20:00

Just remembered you've got another thing tomorrow so focus on that instead of the cinema and pump as much as you can tonight and tomorrow so you can have one hell of a night instead of two ok ones! Maybe even a few Wine ? Hmm

Oh larle have a massive {{{hug}}} you poor thing you need a little break. Agree with anypants, see if you can express some more tonight, freeze the lot and then you'll have enough for a proper night off very soon.

Did anyone see the "Yoni massage" thread in S&B (now in classics) yesterday? I've just been howling at it, there are some right odd balls out there and some very funny ladies on MN.

Off to get pjs on and pour a sneaky Wine see you all tonight xx

Evening everyone Smile DS is asleep so I'm relaxing in bed. For the past two nights the second feed has been a nightmare! He wakes up between 2 and 3 and won't go to sleep in his crib until around 5 Sad He's also been waking more often. I'm a very tired mummy!

Congratulations MrsN Grin

Oh Larle so sorry. That's so frustrating. Sad. You'll get a night out soon, just build up a stash of milk. Doesn't help now though I know.
