Not till I weaned DS off the breast at 11 months. It came back pretty much as soon as he stopped his nighttime feeds.

About 8 months ish after dd1 as I went back to work and had to stop bf during the day.

Dd2 is coming up to 7 months now and still no AF, I'm expecting the same as before.

It varies wildly from one woman to another, so don't worry! But don't assume you're not fertile either ;-)

Ooh sorry, in my hurry to write that rather patronising post I forgot to answer the question! Sorry, the post I wrote sounds awful!!!

Yeah, for me, first time was 6 weeks, second time two years.

14m and 16m respectively.

It is weird to be waiting, but unless you want to ttc again it should be a welcome break! Grin

13 months and still waiting with dd2 (not complaining)

8 monthsish with DS1, still feeding but he'd ramped his solids intake up and wasn't taking as much/dropping feeds.

5 months in with DS2, still no sign, mercifully!

You lucky lot. 3 months here, and they came back with a vengeance even though I was still feeding.

I haven't had a period since the last one before I got pregnant with DC1 nearly 5 years ago as I've either been pregnant or breastfeeding since. (DC3 is 3 months old)

15 months with DS1. Hoping for at least that long this time! Bliss.

14 months. A couple of weeks after he'd started to regularly go for 8 or 9 hours between his bedtime feed and a night feed.

He's just turned 2 and still breastfeeding morning and evening and my cycle is shorter and isn't as regular as it was before though no idea if that's my age, breastfeeding or just post-pregnancy changes.

6 months here too and still waiting.

Sorry to hijack and perhaps I'll start a new thread but obviously you can get pregnant while bf but I heard that you can't get pregnant until you've had a period again. Anyone know if that's true?

When DS was around 9 months. When he started to eat more solids.

heavenly, you can't get pregnant until you ovulate again and the first time you ovulate will be 10-14 days before your first period so you can get pregnant without bleeding first.

Babieseverywhere · 09/04/2013 10:02

DC1 16 months
DC2 16 months
DC3 16 months
DC4 6 months (last baby )

Heavenlywineandroses You can't get pregnant until your cycles return, but it is possible to get pregnant within the first cycle before your first period. If becoming pregnant again would be an issue, assume you are fertile and plan accordingly. HTH
