Freezing Antenatal Colostrum

I was wondering about doing this because when I had DS1 I tore & had a small pph so there were various things going on including transfer from a homebirth which meant he didn't get his first feed as soon as I would've liked. It took nearly a week for us to establish breastfeeding which I put down, at least in part, to the delay in getting that first feed into him.

Obviously, I'm hoping things don't happen the same way & DS2 will be able to feed well straight away but, given that I'm leaking colostrum at 30 weeks, it seems silly not to try & collect some to freeze so we've got something that DH can give him if I'm not able to feed him straight away.

Does anyone know how common this is to do? I've read that the community midwives may have access to sterile syringes with caps that can be used for such purposes. Is it worth asking or should I just get on & collect the tiny amounts in cups which are going to be far bigger than necessary?! I won't start trying to hand express for a good few weeks yet, just trying to be prepared!
