Hi guys, ot sure if this is the right thread to use but since you're all mums on here it's as good a place as any...
Anyway, DS is 14 weeks tomorrow. He has been sleeping 8pm til 11pm when he has a feed then sleeping through til 8am give or take.
He is/was on 6x7oz bottles of which he drinks between 5oz and 7oz generally.
Anyway, Mon am he woke at 6.30am so went to bed a little earlier that night. Then Tuesday am he woke at 6am so we stuck with the same feed routine as monday (just an hour earlier than 'normal' throughout the day - in bed at 7pm instead of 8pm). This morning he woke at 8.20am (which is more normal for him than 6am as stated above) so by the time i'd dressed him etc and made bottle it was 8.45ish. Usually he's on 3 hourly feeds which seems to suit him - sometimes crying for feed slightly early but generally fine.
But, he had his feed at 8.45 then was desperate for a feed 2 hours later, which I gave and so the day has gone on like this. He has fed at 8.45, 11, 1, 3, 5 and now again at 7 (which he's leaving most of as he's so tired - that's the other part of this, he has refused to nap throughout the day - literally having a couple of 20 min nods all day). I should point out that he's never been the best napper in the day, but the last few weeks we have managed to get into a routine of 2/3 hour long naps (again, give or take). All the bottles he's had today, he has drained straight off.
I'm not worried about this, just wondering if anyone can shed any light on what's going on/changed etc.
I do have a tendency to get myself caught up on feed times/routine. Like, we're out for the day tomorrow and i've spent the week thinking (not fretting exactly, just mulling over) how to fit the day in around DS routine/feeds etc) but I can't really do that if DS keeps changing it up a bit each day...
What have others done WRT routine - do you stick to times regardless of the time DC wakes, or do you run each day as it comes?
So sorry this has been so long, I wanted to get as much detail in there as poss so I can get a better answer off you experienced mums.
Please offer some advice/theories/anything...
