Every 30 seconds a baby dies because it was not breastfed.
Nestle promotes Artificial formula around the world. It uses harsh marketing techniques in countries where water supplies are unsafe. It offers free formula to mums who's milk supply then dries up. Families are then forced to buy expensive formula leading to poverty. Baby milks are often overdiluted, this increasing the risk of malnourishment.

Nestle chose to break the WHO code of marketing. Here are some examples of its malpractice.

The company offers free milk samples to new mums,
Free gifts to mums and healthcare workers,
Advertisements for it's infant milks on TV, mailing, billboards and magazines...
It lables its milk in ways that idealize bottle feeding and undermine breastfeeding.

Some Nestle products include;
Nescafe,
Rowntree,
Ashbourne,
Buxton,
Perrier,
Vittel,
Ski,
After eights,
Dairy box,
Drifter,
Kit-Kat,
Polo,
Toffee crisp,
Rolo,
Yorkie,
Lion bar,
Milky buttons,
Shreddies,
Shredded wheet,
Cheerio's,
Clusters,
Carnation,
Garnier,
Lancome,
L'Oreal,
Maybelline

There are more products, please feel free to add to the list and show your support of the boycott. The boycott can and will make a difference if we all join in.

I haven't seen any adverts for it's infant milk. I've seen loads of SMA ones and Cow and Gate for follow on milk. Where are these adverts shown? In other countries?

Also in the news over the last few months

The Body shop have recommended that they accept a cash offer from L'Oreal. For a company that has always marketed itself on it's ethical standing - personally this feels like a complete sell out (excuse the pun!).

So in our house we are boycotting the Body Shop too.

compo - they hard sell in other countries, even train Midwives to promote their milk over breastmilk by telling them that breastmilk is dirty and unhygienic.

I don't buy Nestlé and I think the more people who know about what this disgusting company does the better. Maybe one day they'll be forced to change their policies. But if we ignore it and just carry on as normal, then no-one questions them and they get away with everything.
