Infant feeding

10 month old refusing to drink

My 10 month old ds has had a funny few weeks. He seems to find drinking from a bottle painful. He sucks and guzzles but breaks off to cry every 30 secs or so. Thought it might be teeth or wondered if the pressure of sucking might hurt his ears.
I'm sure he's not drinking enough as he had a bout of constipation with big rock hard poohs painful to pass.
Tried juice, water, tried Tippy cup, syringe etc.
He is no4 and has sn. I breastfed the other 3 till 14 months so have not experienced this before.
Any suggestions anyone. He is STRESSING us out big time!!

Give him watery food like melon, if it is his teeth this should sooth them, and it's got such a high water content that it should help keep him hydrated. (The dr told me this)

it the hole in his teat big enough ? have you checked for oral thrush, this can be really painful too.

one of mine was really constipated, small amount of fresh orange juice on a spoon helped.

Thanks PP. We've been giving him extra watery meals. I hadn't thought of melon though. He eats really well and doesn't seem to have pain then which makes me wonder if it's ears.
I tried a faster teat a few weeks ago but he choked- I might give it another try though.
