DS is 11 months old and eats food exceptionally well but just wondering how much formula should he be having everyday?! he's always been a bit of a milk-refuser since we started weaning and getting formula in to him has always been a bit of a mission so i'm hoping that he doesn't need very much anymore cos he doesn't want it lol xxx

Between 6 and 12 months they should have 20floz a day and its recommended to give the milk an hour before offering solids.

Once you hit 12 months you can ditch the formula and bottles and its 300 ml of full fat cows milk per day until 24 months, that does include milk used in food.

just to add to the pp - not all the milk needs to be in drink form between the age of 6 and 12 months as any milk with cereal, in foods, other dairy products count towards the 20oz total too.

That 20oz can be made up with yog/cheese etc and you can add it to food is mash potato etc if you are concerned huge isn't getting enough.

My dad was like this, she just wasn't a milk fan so I would add it to food when I could. After four boys who all LOVED their milk it was a shock to me, but she is now 2 and the picture if health but still doesn't like milk, I even offered her a hot chocolate recently as her brothers were having one and she took a sip and told me it was 'yucky'

But I don't likje milk either, I only have it in yes, so maybe she takes after me!
