Infant feeding

DS has decided he will only have warm bottles.....

So by the time he gets halfway through a 5oz feed, he won't take anymore. I'm going to try smaller feeds from tomorrow, and when I am out and about maybe having a flask of hot water so that I can warm them on the go.

Just wondered if anyone has any advice about if we can get him to start taking not warm milk?

No help, but mine is exactly the same, so be interested in what you find !

Its a nightmare, isn't it, Monty? I did discover tonight (through desperation!) that if I moved ds onto the other side, that he then carried on drinking. Not sure what that's about!

This morning he again got 3 oz through a feed and stopped. I heated up a fresh bottle, and he drunk a further 2oz!

I'm going to make smaller feeds, but was wondering about reheating a bottle halfway through a feed? Is there any harm with warming up the same bottle halfway through a feed?

Thanks!

My ds likes his bottles very warm too. I have been reheating halfway through as I wouldn't have thought it would cause any problems as long as it was drunk quickly. My ds is 10 months though - I wouldn't do it for a young baby.

As far as I'm aware as long as you are making them fresh every time you can reheat once, so reheating half way through would be fine

My dd did this and i had to reheat it half way through, i just put it in a bottle if warm water.

She also liked her milk slightly warmer than the recomended body temp, she was a fusspot!
