Firstly I realize how lucky I am but i'm starting to doubt my feeding ability/supply and would like some advice pls:
Background
LO almost 13 wks and EBF. No feeding issues to date. Born on 50th percentile and has stayed there with weight gain. Always been an efficient eater. Alert, happy, lots of nappy action.
Not sick but for the last 2 nights she has gone 6.30pm until 4am between feeds and I've kinda dream fed her then because I was getting engorged. For the last 3 weeks shes gone 6.30pm until 2am, then 5.30am. Feeds every 2-3 hrs in the day but often only for 7-8 mins (sometimes less). She does not fall asleep feeding in the day. Both me and DP are v tall.
Question:
- Should I just enjoy the sleep or is this going to affect supply? I have been told it will
- also told 8 feeds per day is a 'minimum' even though I feed on demand and offer often
- weight seems fine but should she be bigger ie. not feeding long/often enough
- is it safe for her to sleep that long?
Sorry if sounds ridiculous, just v confused. Surely she'd wake if she was hungry? Weigh clinic at end of week, just don't want to get freaked all the time and keep weighing.
Sorry for long post and TIA. :)
