hi, of course I don't actually think he's a weirdo...he's just started doing weird things while feeding (he's EBF). In the past few days after he's fed/guzzled frantically for about 10 mins (his feeds only last about 10/15 mins anyway) he starts arching his back, then curling up, then flayling his little legs around, paddling his hands like mad and sort of burying his face in my boob, all while sort of grunting, and still latched on. Other times he'll launch his head back (nipple still firmly clamped in mouth...) and yet other times he'll latch off and then try to get back on by turning his head side to side and sort of passing my nipple between his lips. He'll do this over and over. Eventually he sort of calms down and either goes back to feeding 'normally', falls asleep in a milk coma, or comes off and looks up at me to say, ok, am done now...
Odd. My initial though is that its wind, especially the arching back/curling up, but he's no more windy after a feed than normally. Having said that, the other night he woke up twice between 7pm and midnight when normally he sleeps through. He gave a big burp each time and I fed him back to sleep, but he didn't burp after the feed.
Oh, and he's more farty and is pooing daily again after weeks of not going for 4/5 days. Who knows if it is at all linked.
Am not worried or anything, I just wondered if anyone else had come across this??
