After a bit of advice. Ds has terrible wind and has done since day 1. He is now 11 weeks old, and it actually seems to be getting worse, not better. Now, instead of having a few hours a day of screaming due to it, it seems to build up and lasts the whole day. We have about 2 or 3 days a week when he has it, and just crys all day. There's absolutely nothing i can do to help him, apart from put him on my shoulder, but even that only works for 10 minutes at a time.

We've tried gripe water, but he can't stand the taste and spits it straight back out at us. We are using Infacol, and have been for a long time, but it just doesn't seem to be helping anymore. Anyone got anything else to suggest? And do they REALLY start growing out of it from about 12 weeks? Or is my HV just fobbing me off!!

Also, ds had started to make funny noises when having his bottle, like he is sucking too hard, but the size teat seems to have no relevance to it. And we've also tried changing feeding position which isn't helping either. I think this is making his wind worse. Any ideas?

Yes its true, 12 weeks and it should start to subside.
Tummy massage may help, has your HV told you about this at all?

It is horrendous i know as my ds had it too, awful terrible difficult time, i really feel for you.

No HV has said bugger all. Tbh they are quite useless. They forgot about me when i first had ds, so didn't come for a few weeks, and they only came then because i phoned them. About as much use as a chocolate teapot if you ask me!

I think ds is getting a cold as well as he seems quite sniffly which could also explain the funny noises. The joys!!! He is being christened on Sunday and we are going on holiday on Monday. I think he's going to be one grumpy little man!
