My sister's husband sugegsted me this book. A Suitabel boy by vikram seth. Has anyone read it? Jst started with it. DNt knw whether its worth the time as it is some good 1500 pages.
So, pls suggestions needed!

I read it several years ago (pre children so had more time then

Read it years ago, took some reading but was worth it in the end! Spent two weeks lying by a pool, in the sunshine reading it. Lovely.

I loved reading it - it inspired us to cook wonderful Indian food yummmmmmm!
Its one of those books that stays with you I think. Enjoy it!

This is without question my favourite book. Very narrative. Lots of short chapters so you are constantly driven on. I reach a different conclusion about the ending every time.
However, it does cause you to abandon everytihng and everyone while you read it.

I read it years ago and it was fantastic. Like a big soap opera. Really good characters, excellent story, brilliant writing. One of my top books ever
