Relationship breakdown

I've been with my partner for nearly 20 years. For the last 8 years he has not worked - after walking out of the job he had. He has not claimed job seekers or any benefits in the whole of this time. I have worked and only my wage has paid all the bills and rent for the home and supported our 2 children. He is on the tenancy agreement. He continues to say he is looking for a job so can't move out till he can afford to. I know this is not the case as he now ferries his parents around taking them shopping and to appointments. He was suppose to leave in January but didn't. How can I get him to leave as we don't speak and my children are finding it hard in the atmosphere.
