Hypermobility syndrome

Hi, I'm 21 years old and have been diagnosed with hypermobility syndrome since I was roughly 11. I have allsorts of joint issues including:
Shoulder dislocation, hips, fingers, wrists, knees.... I also have pain, not all the time but most of it. When I was in high school I would be sent home often with my knees inflating and awful pain as if there dislocating slightly, I would get sent to the hospital and every time they would say it's "house wife's knee" My knees since have not been so bad since recently about 6 months ago I was having awful pain in them and every since there is an awful sound coming from my knees when I'm bending them, mostly when I'm walking up and down stairs. It's like a crunching/grinding/popping noise, I'm just wondering if anyone knows if this is connected with my Hypermobility syndrome or knows what it could be ? Thanks in advance Olivia x

It sounds like it, I've also got hypermobility syndrome (recently diagnosed) and my joints make those noises all the damn time.

Had a physio explain to me that going up and down stairs will be worst for knees if the muscles are weak around the knee caps as the force put through the knee cap when using stairs is something like 3 times your body weight (can't remember exactly). I find when my knees are bad that walking downstairs sideways helps a little, seems to lessen the noises too.
