How long do HuffPost take to get back to you after an article submission?

I submitted an article a few days ago to the HuffPost blog.

Now I know that obviously they may have no intention of getting back to me, I mean how long [preferably from personal experience] does it take from them to get back to you if they want to give you an account.

I am a freelance journalist, so I am aware that not everybody wants me articles. I’ve found a publication that the article I wrote would suit much more. Therefore giving me a statistically better chance if I submit it to them.

I’m just wondering if I do this and I say yes, then in two months after I’ve posted this article on one website, the HuffPost post the exact same one. Because that wouldn’t be very good for me...

I've had anything from a day to nearly a month. They do talk to you before they publish though, to make sure it hasn't been published elsewhere in the meantime.

Hello! Just jumping in here, do you mean for their blog section? The unpaid? Or do Huffpost sometimes pay for freelance articles, that aren't part of their blog? Does that make sense? Thanks!

Hope you hear back soon.
