Life without Facebook..

What would you do with the time you waste on this horrid social networking site? Admit it, you wake up each morning and check Facebook. You log off at night only to log back onto it on your phone in bed.

Maybe this isn't you! Maybe you use your time more efficiently..
I'd still like to hear from you though, what do you do with your time instead?

What made me ask these questions, you ask? Why have I got rid of Facebook?

The answer!

well, having never had a face book account, I wouldn't change anything if it didn't exist.
However if I cut my MN time....

Hi mummy , I deleted it after my darling ex, love of my life publicly humiliated me and I couldn't deal with false concern/ nosiness. Never looked back.

I realised I judged my life on others. Those lives we portray on line are the ones we want others to see.

There's a whole world out there!

I do go on FB a lot, but no way would I delete my account.

I keep track of my daughter and her friends.
I get regular news of my nieces and nephews and what their young children are up to.
I chat about software/religion/atheism with friends I've never met around the world.
I make plans to meet up with friends.
Recently an American friend (bizarrely a fundamentalist Christian) who has since become friends with my DD too was able to give her advice about curing cramp at 3am so she didn't have to wake me!

Like anything, FB is what you make it.

Thanks for your replies!

Nextphase - You're not missing much, so don't do it!!!!

Cooroo - I'm definitely missing finding out what my family are up to and the pictures they share but at the same time, I have a phone, I can phone them any time or even email/skype them!

Chaoscarriesonagain - Well done for getting rid of yours! I agree completely with portraying different lives online.. I think we are all guilty of it at some point.

It's definitely a relief anyway. Not sure how long it'll last but we shall see!
