Fancy a John Lewis masterclass on how to make your kids' gadgets internet-safe?

It's nearly a month since Christmas, and if your children found some fancy electronic gadgets under the tree, they've probably worked their way through the instructions and are well and truly - ahem - immersed by now. But how about you - have you got to grips with the parental controls yet?

If not, here's a chance to grab a one-to-one masterclass with Po Tong, John Lewis consumer electronics buyer, and a security expert from Norton, on how to keep your children safe online when they're using tablets, smart TVs, or laptops.

The masterclass will take place at the Peter Jones store in Sloane Square this Friday 25th January, in the afternoon - you'll just need to blog about the event, and we'll promote your post via Twitter. You'll also receive a £25 John Lewis voucher for attending.

Let us know here on the thread if you fancy going along, or tweet us @MumsnetBloggers. All names will go into a hat, and we'll let you know by the end of the day tomorrow if you've been successful.

It sounds really interesting but I'm probably an hour away by tube, and have kids to pick up at 3:15.
If the timings worked I'd love to come.

I'd love to go along! I'm a bit of a closet internet geek and would find this fascinating. It's only a short distance from me too.

No because the little darling will just use FB or whatever on her friends phone or lap top.

You keep them safe my teaching them what not to do and what not to click on.

If you block it they'll find a way round it.

Everyone has a tablet in our house now so I'd like to be better informed about what my toddler can use his for.
