This is probably the first of a series of posts on MumsnetBlogFest. Today it has given me the best stats I've had. All my most popular posts have been about mumsnet #powerofmumsnet

Where do we put Blogfest post links?

Anyway, here's mine which you get an honourable mention in! ;D

Looking forward to reading all about it. Wish I'd been there Envy

Mme that's a great post. Another massive Nars Orgasm fan here btw. Grin

Hello all

All feedback on content, organisation, venue - anything and everything in fact - gratefully received! And a link to an official feedback form will be winging its way to all delegates v soon, if it hasn't winged already.

::fingers in ears:: La la la not listening!
Am unspeakably jealous of you all being there and having fun together. Youngest child is now 2 weeks 2 days, and as it happens she probably would have been quite up for a bloggers' day out. But it would have been impossible to know that beforehand...Sad

Here is my overview of the MN Blogfest, which links to two more detailed posts on panel discussions.

I'd like to do one more on all the wonderful women I met, but it will have to wait until later in the week.

And here's mine. I've also updated the Blogalong page but will probably only complete it tomorrow.

That's one of the ironies of kids Gus, the younger they are the more portable they are. All the babies there were spectacularly behaved and v cute!

It was an excellent day - really fun and uplifting.
Caitlin Moran was as brilliant in person as in her columns/books and her writing tips were the best I've heard. I liked her talking about her early writing being "a bit off" in view of the Liz "very off" jones scandal.
The finding your voice session became slightly woolly I felt and could have done with a steer back to subject matter. I think the probs with the mikes was a bit inhibiting for panel.
The venue was ace - specially for an out of Towner but who designed their bathrooms? - crazy.
Food and goody bag - fab.
I wonder if there is a way to make it easier to find other bloggers you want to connect with, rather than squinting at name badge? a list of attendees and a number like a runner? Nah, but something like that.
Sorry long post - short version- thank you, it was great.

I've just seen there is a feedback form, sigh, sorry.

Stitch
Did you want my blog post on Miriam separate to the big one that I did? I can do an extra one

I also have two from the other sessions if you are short of posts.

Dilly - you're right! The problem was weighing up the chances of my having a quiet and probably biddable newborn (low) against the chances of my having the baby 2 weeks late and perhaps still being in bed recovering from birth (high) or the chances of my having a howling, colicky newborn (reasonable to high...).

Ah well. Next year?!

fab, inspirational day, especially closing and opening speeches. Thanks.
Think I now need to start blog afresh though, back on focus, and start another (anonymous?) one for all the other stuff....

Feedback form came via email.

Did anyone catch the blog name of the older woman who asked a question in keynote one, I think. She said it was about being old when you feel young? I'd like to read it...

Oh, I meant to look for her blog, Euph.

Yikes sorry for delay - hope you've all got your feedback forms via email now?

Thisisaeuphemism that's really helpful - thanks. Agree that session could have done with a bit of a haul back on track, and we've made a note to make sure everyone is briefed about what other sessions there will be, so they stay focused and don't overlap.

And that's a very good idea about connecting with other bloggers - hmm, how could we do that, d'you think? Maybe an instant print camera! People could have their photos taken at the beginning of the day if they wished, and we could pin them up alongside their blog names? It's a bit Luddite for a bloggers conf, but hey!

The blog you were asking about is 75goingon40.blogspot.co.UK . Do read it - it's really fab.

Yes PetiteRaleuse, pretty sure it will be happening next year! We really enjoyed the whole enterprise and we're so pleased that, on the whole, everyone else did too. Bring on 2013!

I have seen two blogs now that mentioned my panel and in one I am misquoted and the other lists the other panellists but fails to mention me at all. I feel like I have ARRIVED and I'll send chocolate to anyone who says something nice about me. ;)
