Is this worth blogging?

Hello,

A year or so ago I started writing all my recipes down on a blog coz I was getting fed up of having folders full of pages ripped from magazines & never being able to find the one I was looking for.

It works really well for me & DH - I put the meal plan on there too, so there's no excuse for him not knowing what's for dinner, and I can change the recipe or add notes for the next time I make it.

It's also really nice to be able to easily send friends links to recipes they like - a few of them have said I should put more effort into it & do it "properly" (i assume they mean i should put more effort into the wordy bits) but I'm not really sure anyone would really be interested?

There are loads of recipe blogs out there (all written much better than mine) - and they all seem to have created their own recipes, whereas I'm just making my own versions of other peoples - although I do always link or credit the original recipe, I don't want to start pissing people off by them thinking I'm just stealing their ideas IYKWIM

What do you think? It's here if you wanted to have a nose.

I think it's a brilliant idea, I've looked at your recipes and they look gorgeous. Your style of writing is great (I think), casual and easy to understand. I'm going to make your Spanish Omelette!!

Thanks for taking a look anste & am so glad you like it! I wasn't sure if my friends were just being polite about liking it!

Enjoy the tortilla! Now you've reminded me of it, I may have to put it on the menu for next week!

I really like it, bessie. I've started to follow it, as your style of cooking is very much like mine (too many varieties of veg, makes DS3 cry at regular intervals when he sees his plate!).

I like your writing style, which is easy and friendly. I love the way you incorporate Mnet-isms into your posts.

Keep going, you're doing it 'properly' already! Grin

It is definitely worth blogging. Great idea to serve cheese scones with veg soup - that is tomorrow's dinner sorted!

I think it is a great idea. The only difficult thing with a food blog is food is notoriously difficult to photograph well & appetisingly. You seem to have done well so far though, but it might be worth checking out some tips. I really like your recipes.
