Can someone give me the low-down on these?
There are two types really.
1 - you are 'tagged' by someone - by the sending of an email or PM - and asked to join in.
2. - you see a blog hop that is open to all and join in by posting a link to your blog, either in the comments or in the LINKYtools gadget. Sometimes you can also copy the code and put it on your blog, so that the list of blogs is shown not just on the starter of the blog hops blog, but on all the blogs.
Have a look and see which blog hops interest you and join in.
Do make sure that the hop is suitable for your blog and that you read the post. I had someone join in my blog hop about a very ill little girl - she linked to her blog without writing a post about Aillidh. That was not the reason for the blog hop, it was to raise awareness of the campaign.
Other than that, there are no restrictions. It is a way of linking up to other blogs, finding new blogs and gaining readers for you blog.

Thanks MmeLindor, I'll have a nosy around. Can't imagine being invited at this early stage - maybe I'll blog hop!
If you are interested, you are welcome to join the #makemebetter blog hop. It is for a good cause - to raise awareness of Aillidh, who needs a bone marrow donation.
