Hi,

I have set up a Facebook page ('Bishopston Mum'). Have heard a bit about having a personalised 'landing page'. Please can anyone tell me what this is and how to set this up? Also, how do I use Facebook to promote my blog? Bit confused about how having a Facebook page will help my blog.

I've been meaning to respond to you, sorry I got distracted. I've got a Facebook page and decided to do a landing page after reading an excellent post from Typecast mainly because it looked like fun. It's basically a welcome page which you can brand for your readers and make it look more welcoming I guess.

I designed mine using a template from www.shortstack.com

When I publish a post on my blog it automatically sends a link to my Facebook page, so it is one way for people to keep track if they don't want to subscribe. The best way to make it work is to add bits and pieces that you wouldn't put on the blog but I've not really engaged much with it yet so I'm afraid my advice is limited.

The problem is that the new Facebook timeline has made the landing page obsolete so I've just updated the post and written some hints and tips to replace the landing page section.
