Hi y'all,

I am so excited to be accepted as a Mumsnet blogger - I can't wait to see my profile in the directory. Thanks so much to the team at Towers for me giving me the nod.

I have been blogging for about 18 months and so am fairly new. Every day is still a school day for me. I have recently separated from my hubby, who is a Chinook pilot in the RAF. The origins of the blog were about how marrying into the forces has impacted my parenting choices and to be honest even being separated hasn't changed anything really as hubby was never here anyway plus he's currently in Afg and I am still worrying because I don't want him to be killed even I don't want to necessarily stay married.

It's been a stressful decade - lots of conflict!

A Modern Military Mother

My blog is undergoing a MAJOR overhaul so it will take a few weeks to get my badges sorted out. I am having a re-brand so it will be changing as well.

I am a bit lippy as well and also a raging Feminist - I was absolutely the wrong person to marry into the military but they say that love is blind and I fell head over heels in love with husband and definitely not the uniform but the military is no place for a pacifist, hippy, feminist wife!! It was inevitable that we would be at loggerheads which we are so often.
