Help! Can anyone suggest a baby shower present for a first time mum. It has to be the best ever!!!!

It would be good to have more information - is it going to be something for a new baby? If so, does she plan to use a sling and cloth nappies, or use a pram and pampers, or something in between?

I would have loved a baby changing bag that fit cloth nappies (paul frank shoulder bags for baby-changing are the best I've found) but with a sling, a back-pack might be better.

I think Haba baby toys are adorable.

I like baby shower presents to be for the new mother, though. A huge collection of dvd box sets for late feeds - that kind of thing.

TBBE - if it's for a baby shower, it has to be for the baby (or for dealing with the effects of childbirth), that's the whole point!

And traditionally shower gifts are small, so perhaps you need things thatare (arguably!) set of their type. Try items from Verde's Mother and Baby range, they are all lovely.
