Well done starting this!! I'm in!!!
Will start on Monday when kids go back to school, don't know why but I can't stand them joining in -that's why they have just dance game-.

I did shredding more than a year ago and i seem to remember not to do it every day, need to leave yourself a day (or two) between to let the body rest. So 30 day shred takes about two months or bit more.

After a week I found level 1 not challenging enough and did level 2 - that was great workout. Never got to level 3, this time it will happen!!

Pretty pirate, what results did you get? Were you more toned? I don't know anyone who's done shred, but I don't have much time to exercise so hopefully it will suit me. My arms, thighs and tummy are SO wobbly and I really don't want another summer of covering up!

Kracken, I thought I might start tomorrow when DH can look after DD. I go back to work on Monday after 10 months off on mat leave, so I want to have started before then (even if it's only 2 days before).

PrettyPirate, I thought you could exercise 4/5 days out of 7? Not sure, though - my trouble is that I stop for a day off and then never restart.

I did running too and gave up shredding after 4 weeks (2-3 per week). Kept running for couple of more months, did 5K and that was the end of my exercise. I did feel fitter and toned (esp my arms), although didn't keep an eye on my eating and that's why didn't have great results weight-wise (think lost about 5 kg but that came back quite quickly).

Now determined to do LC properly and use shredding as toning up tool rather relying on that to lose weight.

I think when you start shredding and haven't exercised much before then it's important not to hurt your body too much and give it time to rest a day. Need to read again about it, not sure now if I'm rightblush

I was doing Ripped in 30 before Christmas. I've finally got to Week 3 (had had two lapsed attempts before, when I only got as far as Week 2) - god knows what Week 4 is like.

After the wee break for Christmas slobbing relaxing, I'm debating whether to start again at Week 2, start again at Week 1 or continue at Week 3.

I've also done the Shred in the past. I still remember the first time I got to Level 3 being totally incapable of getting off my elbows in the "elbows to plank to elbows again" exercise in Circuit 3 (can't remember its proper name) - and being so pleased 2nd time round that I could now do it! grin

I've also just signed up to a 6-8 week road cycling coaching sessions, 3 hours on a Saturday morning. I wasn't sure that they wanted an overweight, 50+ year old - but the lady taking them says that I'm just the sort of person they're aimed at....

They start on the 19th - not sure what I've let myself in for! hmm

I did the shred last year, but I have a slight injury which stopped me exercising. It's better now I think but I haven't exercised for 6 weeks now. I also have 6pack in 6 weeks which i should do plus Pilates. I also have a zumba DVD somewheresmile I am a sahm with dc one at school one at home all the time, plus dh works all the time and is away a lot, so I have to do stuff in the home.

I hate exercising indoors but also find it hard to get myself out in the dark when I get home from work during the winter, so I may well need lots of nagging encouragement. Dp will be back to his rugby fitness regime though which will help

I did my first one today...wow, she keeps you going!

I'm fairly fit, belong to a gym and had apersonal trainer every week in 2012.
However I've reached the point where I think I've done everything with her, and it was so expensive.

So I have my last session with her tomorrow ( haven't told her yet blush) and figure if I do the Shred, plus gym and pilates that should be enough.

I'm 6 feet tall and about eleven and a half stone...I'm 52 and have found the weight piles round the middle if I'm not careful.

So will be starting the shred properly on Sunday.

Just finished Day 2 of Level 1 and I am buzzing.

I could barely get out of bed this morning, groaning when I walked down the stairs etc and thought there was NO WAY I could do it again today, but I did. I can do everything apart from a full press-up, I have to do the cheat version, but I am determined to get there. I haven't exercised for years apart from 2 x 2 mile dog walks I do each day.

I need to lose a stone so am combining shredding with 5:2 and Dry January,, so hopefully will see some real results by 31st.

I started LC on weds so hopefully by sun I will have a bit more energy too. Not sure if I'm in ketosis, I have some pee sticks coming tomorrow which show whether you're in ketosis or not- handy!

I know I am unfit too. I haven't done anything except walking the dog and carrying DD around since she was born (she's 10 months now). My tummy is horrendous - I'm hoping toning helps with the wobbly loose skin folds. sad I'd also better go and scrabble around for the DVD and the set of DH's weights I was using last time I tried this. And my sports bra and trainers...

Tested my injury but getting to the gym and running/ walking for a session. Went well with no pain, so I am pleased I can get in there when I can now.

I will start the shred tomorrow or Monday. And dh and I have stopped drinking and dh has stopped smoking which is very hard for him and he is a tiny bit grumpy even thought its not even 24 hrs.

I'm in too! I started on 1st Jan on level 2 because I did 10 days of level 1 in Nov/Dec and couldn't bear to start from the beginning again. Did day 4 today. I completed the shred in 30 consecutive days last year and lost 30 cms all over, definitely worth it.
Like you MrsRudolph, I carry weight around the middle, so hard to shift! I'm also off the booze for the month, roll on February!

Good for you, Diabolo! I ache all over. blush As far as moving up goes, how easy is it to complete? Can you do all the press-ups properly, and are you following Natalie and getting right into every squat/lunge etc? If you are, I would say move up, but if not, I would stay at Level 1 for a bit longer. I once tried Level 2 and it is much harder - you need pretty strong arms/core to manage the bloody jumping press-up things.

Well done Diabolo! I second Too, it's advised to do ten days on each level to maximise your strength before moving on to the next one. Level 2 is actually the hardest of the 3 so I would recommend that you continue on level 1 but if you feel ready for a challenge then go for it.

Just read this to motivate me to do day three of L1 shred. I have a short break before going back to work so trying to fit in some good habits in the next 2 weeks. I am trying to do ww using an unofficial pro points app. Not great at managing portion sizes but at least I am eating more mindfully and refusing seconds and reducing carbs. I have a big birthday in May and a holiday late June. I would love to lose 2.5 stone as on my 5 ft 1 frame it is a lot of excess. Currently a size 16 with a lot of wobble. I am making do with food cans rather than proper hand weights just now which is a bit of a cop out but will get some light weights this week.

Ok, can you count me in too, please? I'm starting the LC bootcamp tomoro with everyone else- and just completed my first shred workout.

I found it manageable but couldn't do the bicycle crunches at all! I now feel a bit shaky and already a bit achy (I haven't done any exercise except walking the dogs for MONTHS) but I need to do this- I'm getting married this year and want to look good in my photographs- and obviously feel better and be healthier grin

How many consecutive days do you all shred on?

Well I bought some new scales today. I am starting tomorrow with the shred and the low carb boot camp. So last glass of wine tonight, last roasties..

I've downloaded the shred onto my iPad so I can hide in the bedroom and do it. Even my ds age 5 can do proper pressups it's embarressingsmile

Ok, I have to admit to a shred fail! BUT, am ill with stomach bug and all shaky and pathetic. Very annoying as was LC weds-fri this week then got ill yesterday and all I can eat is crackers and the odd bit of fruit so now off LC too. Fingers crossed I will be better tomorrow and back on LC!

Hello, can I join? I bought the DVD in 2010 or 2011, did level 1 for a couple weeks and had noticeable results just from that, then stopped. BUT I intend to start tomorrow morning (ok I intended this on jan 1st, but hey ho..) so will shred first thing. Have bought 2kg handweights from john lewis, had some 1kg ones but they felt too light (have been doing pilates and got stronger since I last shredded)
I'm a bit scaredy though. and have creaky floorboards so I have to do it in my itchen grin

Cafecito I'm doing it on YouTube too as I don't have the DVD. I tired it a couple of times on the laptop but it wasn't loading fast enough. I've got a iPhone I used today and just stood It up on the sofa in front of me. It was quite hard to see what was going on when I was on the mat but I seemed to remember what was coming next.

Today was far less enthusiastic then yesterday because my muscles hurt so much. I did it before dinner today and I'm aching everywhere still so i dread to think what tomorrow will be like

Urgh. Don't know what possessed me, but I was shredding at 6:30 this morning. As someone said down thread, I didn't have as much energy/enthusiasm as yesterday, and when I finished I wanted to crawl back into bed!

I didn't thou, I got in the shower and I'm on my way to work. My 'plan' was to do it every morning like today as when I get home in the evening, I don't want to do much more than walk the dogs and cook dinner! I'll see how I feel in the morning thou!

I've been shredding twice a week for a couple of months - long enough to get to level three, anyway. I've lost about half a stone without really altering all the biscuit eating anything else, so it must be doing something.

I'm also having a dry January, and will try to up my shredding to 4-5 times per week. Just done session one for this week smile

According to a personal trainer on the radio, 20 mins of exercise in the morning = 60 mins in the evening. Not sure how true that is but I find it hard in the morning as I am a lot stiffer, and in the evening I'm more flexible, Jillian-flexible not Anita/Natalie-flexible!

I just did L2 D6 a couple hours ago, god knows how with 3 little people running in and out and 'exercising' with me.

Done d3! I found it a lot easier then the first two days. I was able to push myself a little bit harder too on some of the moves.

I'm you yoghurty I'm aching there too much more then expected. I had to sleep on my back last night as it was to painful to lay on the front of my legs!

abbier is power through. You would struggle to be less fit then I was! I was sick although a tiny bit twice the first day I did it. The second day I was hurting so much so I couldn't do everything to quite the extent of the day before. I did it and it felt good going to bed knowing I'd done it. I've just done day three think posted at same time and I was definitely dying today. AF has appeared for the first time since having ds and I felt like a train reck but I did it and it was 1000% better then day 1 smile

I haven't done mine yet...and I feel v full of tea. Is Day 3 really easier? It's getting late and DH moved everything today so I don't know where my trainers/sports bra/weights are now.

<whimpers>

Still, today was a bit pants in most respects, so perhaps if I do the Shred I'll feel like I did something meaningful? My deal with myself is that I have to complete the Shred before even thinking about ttc again (2 babies 363 days apart; SPD; ELCS with second: no tummy muscles whatsoever. I worry about the SPD in a 3rd pregnancy unless I do what I can now to strengthen all my muscles). <gets broody, brought on by first day back at work after mat leave>

L1D1 done! It was NOT fun but not as bad as I remembered, but I am still crap at press ups

Did first day of L1 just with OH. Wasn't as bad as expected but its all go isnt it? I like it though as you just dint get chance to stop or slow down so it goes fast - was pleased fitter OH was just as knackeredas me. first time weve exercised together since we used to to gym when i was pregnant 6.5 years ago. Used tins instead of weights though so that made easier. What are the weights supposed be?
We did via You Tube on TV to see what it was like and are going to aim to do every second evening. We know we won't manage every day so are trying to be ambitious but realistic and I know I won't get up at 6.15am to do it!
Just need to try do earlier than 9.30pm!

I almost didn't do it today as sick DD would only nap on me. I managed to fit it in before bed.which is just as well since diet was a bit rubbish today.

I don't think there is enough stretching at the end, but even just adding another 5 mins of stretching helps with the stiffness the next day, and it still only takes it to half an hour.

too yes it definitely felt easier. Maybe because I couldn't give it 100% on day 2? I also need to get fitter before the next baby. Although mine will be a bigger gap! I had a horrific pregnancy with pgp, so that another benefit I hadn't thought about

I consider myself fit bit I can only do easy pressups as I have a shoulder problem.
Don't think I'll ever do proper big girl ones.

Is it a huge leap between beginner and level 1?

i agree beela and i do more stretching too

cafecito my biceps seem to be much stronger than my other muscles so i use heavier ones for them and lighter ones for shoulder presses etc

mrsr i seem to remember there is a bit of a leap between levels 1 and 2

I love Shredding! I'm doing 5:2 and having a Dry January in combination with shredding and I've lost 6 lbs in a week and can do up my belt an extra hole this morning.

Day 6 for me a little later on today.

1.5 lb loss this week despite no rigid dieting just trying to be sensible. I am sticking with the shred and will get some proper weights.

I'd did the shred day 2 - still have to stop and pant. I keep all the stuff in a box in the bedroom so I can just go in with the iPad, get changed and go. I do it before lunch as there is no other time what with drop off and dd is quiet around then.

I feel all jelly now. Used 1.13kg weights, I do keep lighter ones at the side but didn't use them at all. DS did, he loves copying me, he also said 'this lady looks bit cross' grin. I explained she HAS too look cross, otherwise mummy wouldn't copy her properlygringrin

I did day1 too today - inspired by you (dvd sitting on my shelf since I bought it in the summer). Also combining it with 5:2 and cutting out all chocolate/cakes etc (I am addicted to sugar, and never used to be).

Hope to lose the still pregnant look 8 months after having the baby (am down to pre-baby weight, but stomach still looks 5 months pregnant) and stop my arms flapping when I move them.

Another "shred before bed" person here, just done day 5 level 1. It is getting a bit easier...it is my calves that are really sore! Agree with the more stretching needed comments.

Hey all, a bit late to the party but I've been thinking about doing this for a few days so thought I'd look for like minded (crazy and sore) people to help motivate me.

I started a diet in October and have lost a stone so far (but put on 3lbs over Christmas), but I'm WOEFULLY unfit so wanted to do something bouncy as well.

I've downloaded the vid, think I'll start tomorrow.....sounds crazy but I'm thinking of getting up early and doing it before anyone gets up. I have a 2 yr old who doesn't nap and I don't think I'll have the energy in the evening.

I just shredded while my poorly 2yo watched a postman pat special on the laptop on the sofa - he would usually be running around causing havoc (well, actually we'd usually be out at our outdoor toddler group today) so I took the opportunity. Not sure if that makes me a bad mum or a dedicated exerciser?

I was doing L3 but I have started from the beginning with heavier weights and different bits ache now.

I spotted Natalie having a rest on the static lunges on L1 while Jillian was looking at Anita shock - so that's how she manages it without breaking a sweat.

Mrsrudolph, I am by no means an expert, but you can either go back to beginning and just use heavier weights, like Beela, or try one of Jillian's other DVDs. She's got some called things like No More Trouble Zones or 6 Week 6 Pack, but I think they're all longer than the Shred. I like knowing that it will all be over in 20 minutes!

God that was really hard. I'm ok with the strength and abs exercise, it's the cardio that gets me. I get this allergic reaction when I overheat and have only recently been diagnosed and given meds for it, so I literally haven't done any cardio since cross country running at school.

Still....it's done now. It was made more amusing by my DD (2) running around me whilst I was doing the jumping jacks, flapping her arms up and down like me shouting "WIIIIINGS!!! WIIIIIINGS!!!"

Question for ladies who have been doing it a while, or who have done it before....

My arms and legs STILL feel like jelly after a few hours....is this normal? I can handle it, but was wondering if there's anything I can do to combat, what I would guess is, lactic acid build up. Do any foods help? I know when my DH works out he has to eat a lot of protein straight after, but that's to build mass obviously which isn't what I want to do.

Have just done level one again - so twice in 3 days. I'm managing fairly easily in that I can do it with minimal "want to die," or more logical "want Jillian to die" feelings. But feel really shit afterwards.

I've been on steroids for asthma though, so I think my general levels of energy are poor.

I failed to fit it in today I was working flat out to get paperwork done all evening too. So I ended up 50calories over mfp allowance. L1D7 tomorrow no excuses.

I had this idea about doing the shred twice a day. Anyway, after a few days I am very sore it hurts like buggery and having second thoughts. I just got to level 3 before Xmas, but had a break over the festive period. Doing it twice a day probably won't do any harm, will it?

If anyone wants to join me on a foolhardy twice a day shred, I'm game if you are.

Btw, not every single day, just 5 days a week.

Sorry to hear about the ovarian cysts. I hope you feel better soon. Are you getting decent pain relief from the GP? It sounds like you could do with some of the strong stuff. It doesn't matter if you miss the odd day, it's the overall picture that counts. smile

I like the short Gillian Michaels ones, because they fit into your day. Have you done ripped and 6 pack in 6 weeks before? Are they even more difficult than 30 day shred? I have killer buns and thighs on DVD, but it's longer and more evil than shred and I'm too scared to use it at the moment. I'm walking like John Wayne and I've disovered muscles that I never knew existed thanks to my "shred twice a day plan". I'm trying to shift Xmas poundage and I've stopped smoking. I'm hoping to replace smoking with exercise instead of comfort eating.

Hope the pain eases off Lavender.

I'm not doing it today, I've decided, I need a day of gentle stretches so I'll probably just do the warm up and cool down bits, and chuck in some yoga or callanetics.

I feel almost as fucked as I did after labour!

BunBagFreddie - I'm doing Ripped in 30 at the moment (got up to Level 3 before Christmas but I have started back on Level 1). I think it's harder than the Shred - I'm certainly stiffer when I start it again.

There are also a couple of exercises in Level 2 and Level 3 that I physically can't do (I have short arms) so I've had to work out my own alternatives.

I haven't dared look at Level 4 yet! grin

I didn't do it yesterday...I had a Friday feeling and just didn't want to. However, I have done it today, so L1D6 is down! Level 2 scares me - I've heard very bad things about it and I tried it once and it was hellish. I've blocked the details, though.

I still can't do real press-ups. I used to be able to, so why can't I now? I have a new rug and my hands seem to slide on it, but the carpet felt just as slippery. Must stop phoning it in mid-press-up! The rest of it is getting easier, but the press-ups are vile. I know Level 2 feature lots of plank-type thingies, so I need more arm strength!

L1d8 today and it felt ok and I even managed a couple of normal press ups not just the knee ones. I definitely need to buy proper weights as the water bottles are only 600g each and they feel too easy now so I have definitely improved since L1d1. I blew the mfp calorie allowance on 5 prosecco cocktails tonight and although I did dance a little it won't have compensated for them.

You need to be careful in L2 on the lunges to think of your torso going up and down and rather forward and back. That way, you don't go over your knees and put pressure on them.

I actually prefer to do the Shred/Ripped in bare feet on a thick rug/carpet (and a sprung wooden floor) as I can then feel the "suspension"/absorption of the impact when I'm jumping as I land on my toes, through my foot and then bend my knees. I did ballet for moany years and that was what I was taught to do.

BabyLabyrinth, I tried it once (I mean, it was few months ago and I did about 5 days and then gave up) without trainers and it definitely made my knees sore. Doing it in trainers this time feels better. My floor is plywood over cement, with carpet and a rug covering the stains, so perhaps on a sprung floor it wouldn't have hurt. I was reading about barefoot running, hence why I tried it barefoot, but maybe you have to adjust to the barefoot thing first before trying to Shred!

Anyway, L1D7 is down!

My knees don't feel too bad. The right hand side of my left shin is really hurting though. Had a quick google and shin splints came up confused (as close to a confused looking face I could see). Ill ask dh in the morning.

I think I can see a little difference to my waist/under bra but that's about it. Dh said my bum is a bit firmer but probably wishes he didn't when I asked him if he was trying to imply it was saggy before. Is anyone seeing a difference on themselves or the scales?

I would love a stomach like Anita's, but I don't think it's going to happen unless I starve myself. No chance of that!

I did the first couple of days in bare feet, then switched to trainers (although they're not proper sports trainers, having never owned a pair of those!). I think I should invest in some though. I don't know how to do that type of soft landing in bare feet when I'm concentrating on not dying!!!

Maybe I wasn't focusing on my torso enough - it's hard the first time, I think, to get it completely right. I found I only got "good" at Level 1 after a few days, because I was able to remember how to do the exercises correctly straight away, instead of having to wait for Jillian's instructions (which annoyingly often come on the second round of each exercise ...)

Today I can barely walk, but not in a good muscle-jelly-leg-syndrome way ... More like knee-damage way sad I think I'll have a couple of days' rest before I try Level 2 again!

Toddle, I've lost just over 1 kg (of 4 kg to lose in total to get back to pre-baby weight), and I definitely feel like it's making a difference to my jelly belly core. I bet you've lost inches around your middle - did you do any before measurements? BunFag and TooImmature I would LOVE to have abs like Anita (or Natalie, I'm not fussy), but I agree, you need to diet at the same time ...

I got to L3 before Christmas, but only doing 2x per week. Then I went back to the beginning with heavier weights, but because I had done it before I got bored quickly. So I have invented Beela's 7 day shred:
2 days L1
2 days L2
2 days L3
1 day off grin
...begin again.

I'm on day 5 today. I quite like mixing it up a bit.

I've been doing it every other day but I did it today and am going to start doing it every day now as I'm past the initial "scarily stiff and unable to walk" phase.

I also invested in some weights today as I've been doing it with tins of beans grin

L1d9 done. I wimped out yesterday but today I put the effort in and I do feel ready for L2. Note my weights are too light and I still can only do a few full press-ups. I am doing the full Natalie for the other exercises though which I couldn't do when I started. My underbra strap is much looser however I haven't lost much weight but I only started mfp 6 days ago. Stricter dieting this week.

I've got a bit bored of the shred - I like beela's method. Anyway, I skived yesterday (did 2 hours of samba instead, so I think I can justify not shredding)- did yoga and zumba today but WILL now go and shred before I do anything else. Yes it's after midnight, yes I know I know, but if I don't do it I will quit altogether. Then I will only have 2 days L1 to go and onto L2.

I'm doing this instead of what I normally do (extreme pilates) so I don't really know if I will see a difference (but this is free and my pilates sessions are frightfully expensive, which I cannot justify right now).

However I did wake up today and had a much flatter tummy, so I am going to stick with the shred til end of L3 and see if it makes a difference.

on my feet I wear trainers but not running trainers, more like crosstrainer shoes that I can be worn for dance etc. I have found, surprisingly, that wearing them makes my ankles and knees hurt a lot less (discovered this by nearly wrrecking my legs in a zumba class in air/gel running shoes) now wear my flat soled trainers to anything that makes me jump around, like kickboxing, or the shred.

Ugh, another 5.23am wake up call from 2yo DS ruined my plan for early morning shredding.

But I WILL shred later on, even though I am so tired I just want to lie on the sofa all day. Just had to tell someone, to make sure it happens grin

I usually shred barefoot but my feet keep slipping on the mountain climbers and I have to stop. I might try trainers today.

Woohoo!! First day of shredding with no rest day, so two days in a row. I'm pleased with myself! Was definitely more challenging with the weights but I managed it.

I do it barefoot as well as I only have skate trainers (not really appropriate).

Is it worth investing in a pair of trainers? I'm finding L1 fine with bare feet, but don't know about the later levels. I don't have much of a budget so some cheap recommendations would be appreciated.

I took it easier today as I was worried about my shin hurting again but it still hurts sad. I may try it with trainers tomorrow and see if that helps as I've been doing it on a hard floor.

I couldn't wear the waist belt I usually wear as I'd ran out of hole on the skinny end! I dug a old one out and it fits gringringrin

well I'm definitely flatter of abs than I was, and I think my bum is less hideous, and I'm only just coming to the end of L1! Maybe it's my magic mirror being nice to me ;) not smaller though, as trousers still too small hmm

bunfag I waled into a 'sporting feet' store and complained about my lack of zumba and bouncing ability in my shoes and they pulled out a pair by N balance that's being stopped but is excellent (but didn't have my size) and a pair by Asics, that do not look like they offer any cushioning at all but they really feel much better for indoor non-running activities, anything where you have to move your feet quite quickly- these in black/blue. But they're £20 cheaper in the asics store I went into and I think john lewis stock them (the bigger ones do anyway) and they come in half sizes. They are boring I guess but they withstand hours of dancing and jumping.

Thanks cafecito. My bum is less hideous too. I wasn't overweight when I started, but gravity has taken its toll over the years. I would like to lift my arse and flatten my tum! It is happening slowly.I use 2kg weights too.

Toddle, L2 is evil, but the plus side is that you'll be relieved and pleasantly surprised when you start L3.

Just done Day 3 of Level 2 of Ripped. Really didn't want to do it (am coming down with a cold) but am pleased that I did. Felt like I was going to die in the plank jacks followed by mountain climbers in circuit 2 (with squat thrusts in the aerobic bit in circuit 2 shock) but got through them without going to the "easier version" ok, I did the mountain climbers and the squat thrusts slightly slower than they were doing them grin

I'm also on Boot Camp and I've lost 10 pounds since I started last MOnday shock I need to buy some new jeans and although my current jeans are a size 14 (and worn wearing through at the crotch something that never happened when I was slimmer blush) they have obviously stretched as when I tried on jeans just before Christmas (only slightly heavier than I am now), there was no way I could have bought a 14. sad

L2d1 done. I was useless and I feel dreadfully unfit!

I think I need a sports bra! When doing the butt kicks I have to hold my arms in a sort of weird boob cradle position to stop them bouncing too much.

Ok I'm backsmile dr says to its ok to exercise but he recommended I do Pilates and stretching. So I am going to stay on the thread for support to keep at it. I have to lose the weight round my tummy and hips, he said. So I have 2 weeks til my next appointmentsmile

I am skinner everywhere except there. He said after my cs's it will be harder due to muscle damage from the ops. He's such a ray of sunshinesmile

Ladies, I have not shredded since Tuesday. [eek] I will shred tomorrow! double shred, even.. on the plus side I have done other stuff (circuits, dance, pilates...) but no shred, just can't face it any more! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah *first case of shred induced breakdown

Dh has decided to do it as well.
He is confidently doing L1 and saying "this is great".

He doesn't know what is awaiting him on L2.

I missed a day yesterday, but will be carrying on today. And it look as if I'll be in the house a lot this weekend, so will be shredding regularly!

I don't have one BunFagFreddie....think it might be an investment I need. I'm not massive in that department but still...

LavendarHony - have you looked into Callanetics? It's gentle stretches but AMAZING for strength and toning, I can send you links if you like. I do a lot of it on my non shred days

l2d3 today. I don't seem to be getting that I want to die feeling like I was expecting. I think there seems to be bigger pauses between changing over moves. I'm really struggling with these lunge backwards then forward things. Not physically I don't think, just the coordination grin

Wow very brave. I got a sports bra but was still holding them with one arm for skipping and jacks. I found a sports crop top bra type thing in primark the other day £4 and over the bra works wonders. I hope it's just because I'm still bf'ing ds they need this much support hmm

Yes cafe it's quite annoying having to listen to her again at the start of level 2 whereas before I just got on with it in front of the telly. On the bright side we have no more about the neck not being invited

I skipped it yesterday. Just done L2D2 and with the proper weights I bought yesterday (only 1kg but that is 400g more than the water bottles i was using up to now). I struggle with the plank squat thing and the plank jacks and the high knees and those side twist jumps and as for double jump rope just forget it! Very much with Anita apart from depth of lunges . Also I don't find L2 flows so well but perhaps when I am more familiar r with the exercises it will be better.

ScarletLady02 , I am well endowed, so the shred would get messy fast if I didn't wear one! The shock absorber sports bras are really good.

I've never really noticed Natalies boobs, but I'll have to check them out when do the shred in a bit. grin

I've noticed that the shred has got way easier, but I also thing that quitting smoking has made a huge difference. Before quitting I used to be coughing and wheezing and I'd feel like I was going to die.

Can anyone post some motivating toning weight loss round tummy over the last week or so? I need a bit of direction and a big stick- am doing the ny low carb woe too, which I like, just need to get back into it. I have liked being off and have found time has expanded to fill my excerise time.

Done mine for the day, shred and 6w6p- Just have the callenetics to do now. Im going to do l2 tomorrow. I am nt sure how I found the time, just ran for bedroom after shopping with dd, got changed and stuck on the iPad. She is quite helpful, counting my jumps etc.

L2d4 done . DH helped DS (4.5) to make motivational banners. "go Mummy go", "Mummy we love you but go faster!" and "Mummy go ba-ba" Not sure about the meaning of the lastlast one. They were held aloft at strategic points and made me laugh at least!

Well, despite my good intentions, I didn't shred at all last week. No excuses, just lazy sad

I've stuck to the LC bootcamp and although my weigh in is not until the morning, I've already lost 8.5lbs in the last 2 weeks.

I do need to tone up thou and get back on the shred wagon. These abs don't come for free, ladies smile

DS responds well to rules and routine so as soon as i said I wanted to do my exercises every day he has been keen to remind me in a firm voice "Mummy you NEED to do your exercises now"! I find the cold motivates me too cos I k ow I will be warmed up afterwards and even more after a hot shower.

L2D5 done! Half way through. I am not losing masses of weight.although i am only reducing carbs and calories and not doing lowcarb bootcamp. I am definitely more toned esp shoulders and upper back so my bras fit better. I suspect I would need to shred for 6 months alongside dieting to really see a difference. I am definitely other due back at work until 4 Feb so the real test will be if I find the energy and time to continue the shred then.

I'm on Day 3 of Level 3 of Ripped in 30 - it's getting easier I'm just about able to do most of the exercises - at least, better than the first time I tried Level 3 before Christmas.

Once I've done Level 4 (ie after next week), I'll go back and do the Shred. It'll be interesting to see how well I do in the press-ups and the V-raises. I'll also think about buying the 6 Week 6 Pack.

Doing this in conjunction with Boot Camp has been great: I'm back in my Size 14 jeans (although not comfortably enough to go and buy a new pair yet even though I need to as one of the seams is going as I still wouldn't fit in to a new pair) and my stomach is definitely flatter (even dh is telling me so! grin)

Only another couple of pounds and I'll have lost a stone since we started! shock

I had a day off yesterday as I didn't feel very well and dd was very poorly indeed and needed me, she gets quite scared as she struggles to breathe unless on the nebuliser. Another chest infection I believe. Docs later to confirm.

Today back on it, but will do l1 as had the day off. Then 6p6w but the first part twice as I can't keep up on the 2nd circuit so it's demoralising and I give up. Have been doing calenetics as I go today.

Very pleased as in my other pair of fat jeans, which I couldn't get into at new year!smile

I have been trying to shred on and off through January. I have an event next Tuesday so I'm trying to make up for lost time by doing Level 3 Shred followed by Level 1 6W6P. I have a few days of work at the moment so have time to do it. Then will switch back to just shredding.

L2D7 done. I didn't manage it yesterday. it is getting easier. lavender hope your DD gets better soon.

I did l2 today but was so puffed I didn't do6w6p aftersmile I did l1 yesterday and the 6p6w and it was ok, so def l2 a step up. Those horrible twisty jumps- hate them.

Dh kindly fed the dc whilst I did my thing. Ds asked if I was trying to be thinner and I said no my darling, I want to be fittersmile don't want him to start thinking that way.

L2d9 over. But last night's haggis weighed me down rather.

L2d10 done. I skipped yesterday because I didn't feel like it (my gran died at the weekend and I have ignored the diet for a couple of days). My weigh in was v disappointing this morning but I hope it is just water retention cos the scales.show a good reduction in body fat%.

Thanks Ponks I appreciate it. It really brought home to me how much emotion and food are linked for me. I had an immediate urge to eat junk. I just baked a load of bran and malt loaves for the freezer which helped.

Oh god I am the same. When I am stressed or depressed I eat almost anything that's around. The loaves sound good!

I am due to do L3d3 today. I have lost 5lb since the start of January. Trying to stick to 1200 cals a day but actually eating an average of 1350 a day. The shred is definitely helping me tone up. Size 16 jeans discarded now and I am more comfortably in my size 14 jeans than when I was last this weight. Body fat has reduced by 1% according to the scales. Still 2 stone to lose though so I need to find a way to keep going over the next few months.

I'm doing Shred 2 and starting to find it a bit easier - I have a lot of weight to lose too but finding the effects of the Shred are v motivating - great feeling when DH comments that I look a lot more toned.
