No carbs. Get your body into ketosis and weight will drop off.

So basically eat meat, green leafy veg (not too much of it) no root veg, drink loads of water. I lost loads of weight in a few weeks doing this.

Also run if you can. Makes you feel fab. How much are you trying to lose?

I think about a stone, but more interested in dropping a dress size tbh.

Brush your teeth every time you feel the need to snack between meals. Toothpaste puts you off chocolate!

I find (for me anyway) that there's about a stone between sizes.

Am trying to do similar to you too.

If you are more interested in size than weight, try exercise rather than just dieting.

Follow the example of those weight loss camps ... Stick to 1400 calories a day ( www.nutracheck.co.uk can help you count them); and do A LOT of exercise every day. In just a week, with a couple of hours of strenuous exercise every day - up to four hours if you can - you should be able to lose at least five pounds, and as many as 10.

Drink 2 litres of water every day (sipping gradually, not downing glasses at a time) as this is needed in the chemical reaction involved in weight loss.

Blimey four hours strenuous exercise a day???shock That'd kill me!

Been on one of those camps - it is tough - but works brilliantly. You lose fat, not water, so the results remain after the week.

Maybe strenuous was a bit of a harsh word to use - I just wanted it emphasised that it has to raise your heartbeat, you can't be strolling round the shops! But a brisk walk, or cycling, or hiking or gym classes etc would be OK.

I use to have boiled eggs for breakfast, or an omlette, or sometimes just a few rashers of grilled bacon.

It does require thinking about meals and planning in advance.

Lunch I would normally have salad. Snack on things like prawns, parma ham and cheese.

Dinner I would often have steak with spinach, or salmon, tuna, chicken wrapped in parma ham. Something substantial and meaty, you can make carb free white sauces etc and you can put butter on steak or veg to give things a bit more flavour.

Here is a link to relevant food lists etc. Good luck! I lost 14lbs in just over a week in my first week.

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)
For a big grin, , type [grin] or :o
For a wink, , type [wink]
For a shocked face, , type [shock]
For an angry face, , type [angry]
For an embarrassed face, , type [blush]
For a sad face, , type [sad] or :(
For an envious face, , type [envy]
For a sceptical face, , type [hmm]

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
