And I am not the slightly pudgy round the edges, is obviously a thin person but has eaten a choc bar recently person I thought I was-I am actually fat. (I lost my mum in Feb and was a size 8, and comfort ate ever since!) I am properly, embarrassingly, how can I let myself go out like that fat. How did I miss this? When did it happen? And the worst bit is, I was asked out on a date last week (first one in three years) and now don't have the confidence to hold my head high on it. How can I shift all this tub? I have bingo wings! shock

If you were asked out on a date as recently as a week ago, the guy must think you're gorgeous, so go out and enjoy yourself.

Aaah but he has fancied me for over a year but has only just plucked up the courage-maybe he still sees me as miss thinny. But if he does that gives me time to shift it doesn't it? I just need tips to stop me over eating really-I know a food diary is a good idea, but apart from that how do I stop myself being constantly starving and cramming on food all the time?

I too woke up one day and found myself fat - I still wonder how I failed to notice it happening.

Keep your confidence on your date though, he fancies you NOW, not as a size 8! Sorry to hear about your mum.

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
