It is making me seriously depressed (not in a vague "oh god that's depressing" way, in a very very low, slightly suicidal, don't want to be seen in public kind of way).
I was 6 months pregnant the only time I have weighed this much before.
Just the basics - exercise more in some way, eat better, eat less etc. Was thinking a weekly weigh in might help shame me into doing it.

I will too, Baby 9 week and I woulld like to shift a stone. I am back to pre baby weight butstill would like to shift the stone I gained before having dd who is now 20 months. (passing my driving test has done this)
Have not weighed for 3 week but I was 11st 2.
I feel like I have gained though. Need to tone up all my saggy bits.

I was the same with the prebaby - I got to prebaby weight after DS quickly, but then it was losing the rest. I did it, and now have put it back on plus more
Dont be of gym. Dh uses it more than me, I find it reaaly boring and difficult to get time with new baby atm (excuses) However I have dance pole in their which I enjoy and have just ordered anew pole dancing fitness dvd so no excuse to get cracking now.
cross stitch is a good idea to prevent snacking. I have been looking at some kits. I make collectors teddy bears (mohair) and needle felt dogs,bears etc... so looking forward to getting back into that.
Ooh that sounds good - I have been doing this same thing for erm, gotta be about 7 years now at least I go through phases, but they are always v short lived ones with big gapes Was last doing it when pregnant with DS (so about 3 years ago )

Can I reccomend juicing? Only been doing it 3 days and this morning I went jogging hahahaha, god knows where I got the energy or inclination to do that but I am blaming the juices. A lot of people on that thread are doing just juice for a week - well I can't cope on that, I started feeling all lightheaded and wierd in ASDA (and not at the prices) So having 3 small meals a day with juicies in between, so today I have had -
avocado&banana smoothie (made with skimmed milk) small bowl of porridge glass of juice omlette with mushroom glass of juice rice with homemade sauce glass of juice
juices contain things like celery, apple, orange, carrot, broccoli, strawberries, mango and pineapple.
I have lasted 3 days now without "bingeing" this is big for me (former anorexic and bulimic and now have wierd food patterns) I feel healthy, its hard to explain how.
Anyway I am rambling, but just wanted to suggest some juices, even if only one a day they are so good for you and even the ones with celery in them taste nice - and I hate celery on its own!
I've done juicing before - loved it, but it cost a small fortune for a 3 day detox thing
It didn't occur to me to do just one juice a day. Will have to hide it from DS - he kept trying to swipe my drinks and I was sobbing in a corner thinking "That's all I have for the next x hours!!!"

I was starving hungry earlier and so I read Gillian McKeiths book for a bit for inspiration. I got it out the library, Im not following her book though, bloody hell she would make me lose pounds though...pounds of money! The sheer volume of supplements she advises in the book its mental!!!
Yes it does cost quite a lot, I add a good few ice cubes to mine and then clean the juicer, then when I am ready to drink it its lovely and cold but also obviously as the ice melts it makes a bigger drink. I have been using value fruit and veg for it (well where possible, as I have never seen a value passion fruit!) and it tastes lovely.
I eat far too many carbs so this has been a way of helping me cut down. I am an absolute toast addict, funnily enough though G McKeith goes on about craving toast as being a sign of a poor diet. oops!
Hello! Thanks all. This is just what I need. I haven't eaten breakfast yet, just drunk copious amounts of coffee. I'm trying to gear myself up for a yummy bowl of porridge and banana. Yum! not. Half term probably isn't the ideal time for me to do this but I've got to start sometime. There always seems to be some reason to put it off for another few days/weeks. I'll probably be tempted with biscuits today too LP. I shall think of you as I say NO! Gillian Mckeith - who wants to look like her??? Juicing isn't the way to go for me I don't think Pumpkin. I have tried it but always look for the 'real' food shortly after. Hope it works for you. My plan is just lots of brown rice, veggies, chicken and curries. If I add lots of spice and flavour then it works for me I think. oh and I normally can get through the day with pots of hummus and ryvitas/ricecakes etc. It's just(just!- haha)a matter of cutting out all the sugar and chocolate/biscuits and grazing on carbs all day long that I need to concentrate on. Off to start stirring the porridge pot!
LP -I'm glad you did biscuits - I did M&Ms-and two mincepies! Whoops! Decided to make a really cheesy lasagne this evening too. Will begin again in the morning. Tomorrow is a new day! Hope you're not feeling too down on yourself. And hey, I peeped at your profile and you look great!!
Well, I wouldn't say I had a great day ..... but I managed to restrict my chocolate to one stick of a KitKat and some nutella in a pitta!!! Its sad that this counts as progress!
Off to see a friend tomorrow who has already told me she has home baked chocolate brownies for us.
Bought the Davina DVD today and plan to do it as soon as I can coordinate both children to nap at the same time!

I have lost two stone since Jan 1st but would like to lose another stone. I am 11st 1 pound and have been for the past three weeks I need to get my arse into gear and get into some exercise again, I have had a cold for the past two weeks and have had no energy but have been eating crap. I want to get back into my 10 stones by 8th November, so it is doable if I am good. I just need some motivation
Hiya everyone. I had a good day today food wise had 1 fruit smoothie for breakfast, oactcakes raisins and banana for lunch and an omlette with mushrooms for dinner. as well as 2 juices in between. Dont feel hungry at all. Had a shit day emotionally though so maybe thats why.

I didn't have dinner last night Probably not a good thing health wise DC asked for beans on toast rather than the spag bol I had been planning, so I thought I do something for me and DH later. I got engrossed in tv & the sewing, then realised it was time for bed. Wasn't hungry at all.
I'm on porridge now (with sugar, but tbh except for the odd biscuit day, the sugar side of my diet is v little).
Tis a big cross stitch thing with dream catchers on it - says gather your dreams and let their spirit guide you Should look good when it is finally done, but seriously, i have been doing it in short bursts for YEARS

I have just got in from another long walk, managed 8,000 steps not good enough but will be taking dog out again later so aim to get my 12,000 steps in today. tis very cold though
I am LilRedWG and I weigh 10stone 9lbs. I need to lose a stone and tone up. I cannot bear to diet but am cutting out alcohol during the week and will be serving myself smaller portions, as I tend to eat everything on my plate even if I'm not hungry.

have tried to cut out wheat as that will make me stop eating bread/pastry etc

have tried paul mckenna ( i can make you thin), as i used his book to quit smoking successfully. it's o.k, but think i need to re-read it. ( although i did have several disturbing sex dreams about him after listening to his cd's!)
can't afford gym, but do walk/cycle everywhere. am doing toning exercises for fat arse/stomach.
have stopped drinking, as hangovers and small babies are a match made in hell.

not doing too badly today so far - I am another with the smaller portions, it doesn't help that our main dinner plates are huge. Going to use the ones we got for our wedding tonight - they are much smaller. (DH is in on this too, but not joining an MN thread )
i really like the way paul mcsexgod gets you to 'listen' to your body, i realised that i was just eating WAAAY past the point of pleasant satisfied fullness.
i really love food and don't want to restrict myself (other than the bread pastry thing) so i'm going to enjoy every mouthful and stop when full!!!! well... i'm going to try!
kids having ham and cheese pasta tonight, i find pasta makes me so hungry afterwards, weird.

I passed out at work today. I do feel shivery even now so think its the lack of food combined with maybe coming down with something. (little one is off colours too so could be that) Boss (who is a GP) gave me a big lecture on eating properly etc. Im such an idiot. .

I was quite ill a couple of weeks ago, started with sore throat then I was shivering for a couple of hours, with loads of layers. Was horrible never felt like that. So I hope you dont get that.
Lostprophet I had my tea on a small plate too. Choc cake does sound really goooood All in moderation I say.
Do you find that as soon as you start to deprive yourself of something you want it more, or even start craving other things.
Thanks, Think I have figured out whats going on, I have eaten and still feel very very dizzy my ears are hurting too now think I have what I had last year which is labyrinthitis. Have made drs appointment and will see whats going on. I wasnt eating THAT little so if Im still feeling like this after eating then I guess thats quite a possible reason.
My sister was ill recently had similar to me, really bad throat (her weak spot)'achey joints pains in stomache.
Emergency doc came out and said def got infection just dont know where.
went back to doctor as antibiotics didnt seem to be helping and told her she had flaryngitis/phlar (sp?) never heard of it and dont know what its supposed to be.
Its an infection of the inner ear, makes you dizzy and nausous. Deffinetly feel worse, the screen is making me feel funny, exactly the same as last year. Being naughty (am I?) and have dug out some left over antidizzyness tabs from last year (within sell by date) and have taken 2 just to help a bit as my appointments not until 5 tomorrow. The room is jumping about, its very wierd. Am almost relieved in a way that its not my diet thats done it, I didnt think I was eating that little so am relieved that I can carry on my new plan (as long as DRs confimr my self diagnosis) But certainly of the duration of the day I have got worse and definetly despite the eating I feel worse.
I've also lost about 2 stone since jan (with loads of help from another thread!). Have lost my way over the summer and still want to lose a bit more. Last time I weighed was 12 st 4 (so guess I'm the fatty of the thread!) Would love to get down to 11 - not been this weight since Uni and nofoodonlysnakebite diet.
Used weight watchers (online only) last time hoping to use the ideas this time. Need to get moving but not sure when or how!
Have also got the paul m book - need to finish reading it - keep falling to sleep after 1 page.
Got a juicer - it's in the garage covered in dust. Really need food as I love it. Juice just doesn't do it for me!
Always used to have a saturday morning weigh in as it meant I could have the weekend off - sunday night is scarey !
I ate choc cake with cream BUT (and you will hear me justify a lot on this thread) - i have eaten very little today so twas pretty much all my calories in one go <ignores the spaghetti and porridge>

Morning, Im off work today and am staying in bed until my Drs appointment - so determined to get myself well before start new job!!!! Screen isnt hurting my eyes so yay I can MN inbetween sleeping, and have got tv in my room now (by pulling wire faaaaar) as long as I dont moove my head and ignore the feeling the ceiling is coming towards me this could be quite relaxing lol. Taking some lovely antidizzyness tabs and cocodamol very helpful! (If I cant get it under control with tabs I fear what happened last year...a jag up the bum by a very pervy dr <shudder> so am desperate to avoid this!)

Well done on 3 mile walk. I have just got back from doctors with my ds. He has just had his first set of injections, he is a bit tearful. Going to wrap them both up and take dog out soon. Pumpkin hope you are ok and the doctors app goes well.

Too late, think I was probably thirsty not hungry, but I have just had a packet of crisps and 2 slices of toast, but only butter on one slice. I am sooo weak
so do i, that's why i told myself to cut out wheat (and sugar) to avoid the bread. But have had the odd slice here and there.
you have to eat a bit more though no1, don't put too much pressure on yourself to diet if you're bf-ing.
i had a weird looking herb and cheese omelette and salad for tea, it was very green and tasted luverly. i sat and watched the kids eat pizza and chips and then i made them banana splits with hot choc sauce and didn't even dip my finger in the sauce or nick a slice of pizza.
I would like to join in please. I moved countries recently and my (previously really quite good) exercise regime has gone up the spout, so my (already bad) snacking habit has got out of control. And my tummy is flabby for the first time in ages (mostly I put weight on my thighs) so I need to start doing pilates again.
I weigh 11 stone. I'd like to weigh 10 stone by Christmas.

I am hopeful for tomorrow, even with my lapsed days. Mainly due to us going out lots all week, so DC eating out and me not cooking a main meal for me n DH Possibly not a good way to do it.
On the other hand, the corset gave me a flat stomach and waist, so if I just wear that full time....?

Hi everyone. crisps are my downfall too. I need to be more creative with lunch as I cant eat a sandwich without a packet.
So what time are we weighing today. Ideally should be first thing before breakfast. I have just had crunchy nut cornflakes at 7.00am, just eating a slice of toast with lemon curd.
My scales are in the garage (gym) and I too bloody lazy cold to go and weigh myself.
Need to get back into "doing stuff" in the evenings so I stop snacking - have been so tired the last few nights that I knew I would wreck it if I tried the cross stitch. I have to get my books sorted for the business though, so can do that too
I am waiting for all my needle felting stuff to come so I too can get busy in the evenings I do find if I am sat here I snack alot. doesnt help that I am on here a lot
Hello <sneaks back in> I have been very very naughty. Been really ill with labyrinthitis have eaten absolute crap like pizza, chips and curry sauce, chocolate, icecream, microwave stuff. Poor juicer is looking neglected.
On the plus side the hell job is now over and I have 3 days off before I start nice new one So hoping I can start to behave again.
doing o.k today. Have drunk a few glasses of wine over past couple of days AND shared a box of quality st with dh ( he ate more than me!) plus had virtual choc off giraffe!!
Half the battle is not feeling totally shit about myself, self-esteem very low atm.
I keep trying to imagine how nice i'll feel when i've lost the weight ( another Paul McSexgod trick).

Well I have had a good couple of days. On Wed morning I was showing 11st 4, this morning 11st 1, so have managed to get rid of the excess fluid. Will be having soup for tea, a boiled egg for brekkie, and a light lunch. Hopefully my tummy won't be too bloated by tomorrow evening
Flame, I am VERY cross with you; why didnt you tell me you'd started this thread?! You know how badly I'm trying to lose weight! (and you know that eating your daily calories allowance as one cake aint gonna help your blood sugar levels, therefore yuo wont lose weight!)
So. I need to lose 1st 1lb. Am now doing a meal, and 2 juices a day (and the odd bit of bread ) Am averaging 6-8 aerobics classes a week now, and a run or two if time.
Do not seem to be losing weight I've lost 2 stone in a year, but now its plateauing.
Hi all, Can i join in too.. am 10st which one and a half over weight and as I'm short it really shows! Feeling very down about it. Am also TTC have been for ages and feeling pretty naff about that too! Have been doing ok with eating healthy stuff (loads fruit) but the weight doesn't shift and then I get down in the dumps and eat like a loon all day!
Well I had a heavy drinking/eating weekend and was showing three pound up this morning, making me 11st 3.8 lb. I have started a faddy type diet (I know I know, but my SiL said she lost 6lb in a week) so I am giving it a go to try and get myself back on track for the next few weeks till Xmas.
I have had more wine this week as I have been in a pissed off with the world phase, but I have now semi-flounced and am in a much happier place Have been at a full day of work today too (I do occasional work at school) and spent 90% of the day on my feet - I am now wiped out but the movement must have done me good!
Feeling much better about myself and my tummy is looking smaller - I don't know how much of that is weight loss and how much is down to eating very little toast now!
