I was merrily chatting away to myself on another new threadblush

My goal for this thread is to actually lose something so I can put a number on the stats list.

Well done on resisting the maltesers. I would have had the lotgrin

I know it's only my second day (and it's not over yet) but I am happy with the calorie counting. I know it's fiddly doing the counting, but I have had cornflakes and orange juice for breakfast both days, and I've been able to have sandwiches for lunch, AND a proper tasty meal for tea, no messing with trying to make someting appealing out of what I have left allowance-wise when I've had bread/cereal alrady. Admittedly I would love a glass of wine just now (bloody habits), and I could have one, but don't have enough calories for 2... so I'm trying to lay off the booze til Friday when it's my Dsis's birthday "party" and no doubt I'll have a couple then.

I am enjoying coming on here to give myself a pat on the back instead of blush toogrin, so bear with me!

LOL at your lunch pink.

I am SO frustrated this morning. I want to give the living room a monster "spring clean" (good exercise and having DS3s christening here next week) but DS3 has other ideas.

I don't know if it's just my imagination but I think my face looks different today - the lots of water and no booze thing perhaps? I'm not sleeping well though.

I'm sure you'll be ok from having a couple of small pieces of cake over the weekend as it's a special occasion. As long as it doesn't become a regular occurrence you'll be fine! wink

I've been bad this week all in all. blush I wont be surprised if i put on weight at tomorrow's weigh in. Last night i got p1ssed again on wine and ended up having jumbo sausage and chips from the chippy AND almost a whole swiss roll before DP turned up with the chips!! blush blush I really have to pull my belt in and get back on track from tomorrow otherwise i wont lose any more weight!

Oh and i've decided that i'm going to give up wine completely. Do any of you get really drunk on one drink in particular but can go on for hours and hours drinking a different drink and you're fine? I'm hopeless on wine, but i can drink vodka for hours!! Plus wine makes me feel like utter crap the next day and so today i am left feeling reeeeeally tired and useless. Ugh, i hate feeling like this!!

Have a nice Sunday everyone

i like to drink dry martini and lemonaid, but since on these tabs i go woozy straight away so ahvent botherd a t all..hate wine, used to like it but feel crap the following day so dont bother!

gunna try and do more walking again this week, friend just had baby last night so am hoping to be able to walk into town weather permitting in morn and will try ot eat lots of fruit/veg etc as we go to blackpool friday for long weekend and i dont imagine we'll be stopping at the salad bars!..will be more like maccy dees!

Anyway, had my weigh in today and as i expected, i put on 2lbs. blush My consolation is that looking at my records, every 3-4 weeks i put on 2lb so i'm not beating myself up about it. Plus i had a week of going over my points limit so i'm not surprised at all really.

Here Miss! I'm here! grin

Sorry, have had people staying so did not make my weigh in last week (good thing, I think!). Went today and have lost 3.5 lbs! Yeah!! Very happy as it means I have finally broken the 5 stone barrier! Still loads to go but boy am I getting there!

Had a fabulous time shopping at the weekend with my cousin and went to a party that night in my new size 20 (was 28) sexy dress from Principles, fab, size 20 (was 26) jeans from Next and amazing, size 38 F (was 46E) bra from Marks! And best of all, it was all half price on the sale! I really felt fantastic and had the most amazing comments from everyone. I am sorry to drone on and hope I don't sound too cocky but I have never been able to buy clothes like these and it is such a great feeling!

Hi everyone. Too blush to post last week as I'd put on 1/2 lb! Not bad I realize as I reckon I'd probably put on a bit whilst we had my folks visiting and lost most of it after they left, but was back on track properly this week and was staggered when I stood on the scales this morning and had lost 3lbs!! That takes me to 20.5lbs altogether and I got my 10% award today, so feeling good!! Not a bad start to the summer holidays.

I know how you feel pc - you just get to a point, and despite how well you're doing, you just want to eat a load of anything that's bad for you!

Croissants are delish - I managed to resist them recently when the kids wanted them, but I've caved in to more than a few cravings this week so far. I have until Thursday to redeem myself, but it's dd's birthday today and there's a gorgeous cake to be consumed..........

I will try to be good though as I want to let my hair down a bit on holiday in a few weeks time!

well am annoyed with myself, thoroughly dissapointed actually..today had that pasta dish for lunch, couldnt even eat half of it ..fab..but tonight when done dp's dinner (pie chips and gravy) i suddenly had urge for gravy and chips, so bunged some in oven and had them (not many, but stillblush with a butterd bread rolllsadblush..am gutted with myself..i just really want to and need to get back into this..nothing from this weekend has shown, but nor has all the walking we didsad, so am sad about that too, i didnt eat any icecreams/donuts/fish n chips etc etc, just healthier option meals with a couple of pieces of that marshmallow thing.

Going to nurse in morn, get weighed and will eat properly form tomorrow again, prob is ive had choc again now and its going to be hard to knock it off againsad..oh sh*tsad

Hi Pink

had a lovely day shopping at bluewater today. Bought myself some new shoes for work and a couple of necklaces too. I'm all set for Thursday now (sob!)

Dont beat yourself up too much about the chips and gravy pink. If it was a one off it'll be fine. As for the walking not showing up, i think it's only regular exercise that will actually make any difference. Bummer, i know.

Good luck with your weigh in tomorrow and crack on with being good tomorrow, just like i'm going to do.

Hello ladies, I'd like to join the thread if you don't mind. I've lost about a stone since ds3 was born (4mths) but would still like to lose about another 5 stone to get to my "ideal healthy" weight.blush

Have been finding life a struggle recently so haven't been doing any exercise, also keep hoovering up food like it's going out of fashion. Hadn't weighed myself for over three weeks but did so yesterday and found I'd lost 1lb so although not great I was glad not to have put on.

I have 5 young dcs and am breast feeding the youngest. I'm mostly veggie although been eating fish lately and currently dairy free as ds3 shows reflux symptoms when I eat anything tasty with dairy in.

Really struggling with finding a suitable meal planner I can stick to and doesn't help that I am surrounded by diet saboteurs (my mum brought home a 12pk of croissants yesterday - temped though I was I didn't because it wasn't worth having ds3 puke all over me all day).

Anyway, glad to have found the thread and people who're already on their way to their targets. I'm hoping some of your inspiration will rub off.

blush at intro essay.

Hi Piximon, there are a couple of us who have wuite a bit to lose, so you wont be alone(i need to lose about 5 more stone)blush
Im sure there will be girls on here who can advize you on eating vegetarian and dairy free(if not on the thread, you can start one of your own asking for menu's?)

anyway...i went to cousins little girls party tonight, was really good at BBQ, other cousins hubby made fresh burgers, no fat, extra lean beef mince, with peppers etc put in and had a few little cubed potatos(dry baked in oven.........then...ALL i will say to you is................................
CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN................................................shockblush..............

Jaz - Yeah i'm going back to work and i'm deffo NOT looking forward to it!! It's only because of money that i have to, unfortunately. On the plus side (rather like me!) it's only part time so i get the best of both worlds in a way because i get to be "RGPargy" for 2/3 days as well as "mummy" for the rest of the time. I'm looking forward to seeing the girls but i know i'm going to miss DD terribly.

Piximon - hello and welcome! Well done on the stone lost so far, especially only in 4 months - that's brilliant!! Good for you for BF your youngest of FIVE (shock) DCs. What a shame that you have to avoid lovely dairy stuff. Dont forget tho that you are allowed a few extra calories if you're exclusively BF. I think it's around 500 extra cals a day or if you're going to be doing Weight Witches, it's an extra 10 points a day. When i first joined WW i was on 37 points (including my extra 10 points) and it was LOVELY haha! I'm sure you'll be fine tho. I will say tho that if you're struggling to find support etc, perhaps you could join either WW or Slimming World and then that way you might find it easier to plan your meals as well as getting invaluable support from the meetings. Just a thought? PS - your DCs look adorable!

Pink - PMSL @ chocolate fountain!!! What are you like?!! Having said that, it's the EXACTLY the sort of thing that i would have done!! Funny tho, my WW leader always says if you're going to have a treat day, make it the day that you get weighed (or the day after if you get weighed at an evening class), but obviously AFTER you've been weighed so I reckon you'll be ok for the next weigh in. You really must be good now tho Pink, you've been slacking lately. TIGHTEN THAT BELT YOUNG LADY!!! <stern look> wink

Well, i've been farting around tonight getting stuff ready for tomorrow <gulp>. I've got my lunch at the ready - i'm having a couscous snack pot (1 point) and a muller light yoghurt (1.5 points).

have a nice evening everyone!

however you are right, i have been slacking..BUT..i didnt weight diff on scales this morn as i was uber good yesterday through day incase of situations like this!
i only actually had 4 marshmallows drizzled in choc and 2 strawberries, no full fat drinks as aunty had diet everythingsmile..and ate loads of cherry toms, lettuce, onion salady stuff with meal.

off to park today if rain doesnt decend so plenty of walking, made sandwhiches to take (ham and tom no butter) with sugar free jellies and lots of grapes..i fully intend to tighten my belt (metaforically(sp) and literally)grin...haev a good day everyone...let us know how you get on RGsmile

smile, yes you will, you've already done so well in such a short time, remember its taken us years to get like this, for me i was 10stblush, when i was i late junior school (i vividly remember my bastard father getting me weighed for all to see in public swimming bathssadangry), my suggested ideal weight is just under 10st NOWblush, so at 15st, i need to lsoe 5st, but really TBH, i think (or maybe cos ive always been big i dont know any different?) that would be 'too slim' for me???..who knows, but trying it for a while would be nicesmile

hope you have a good day today, when do you get weighed?

Hi Everyone

Well here i am at work, slogging my guts out (NOT!). The whole company is pretty quiet at the moment so i should be grateful that i've actually got a job to come back to! I'm just sitting at a spare desk today, catching up with emails, sodding around on the net etc lol. Missing my baby tho! There were no tears this morning from either of us, so that was a relief and as we'd had a few practice runs over the last couple of weeks, i found it quite easy to leave her with MIL this morning.

Hope you're all having a nice day!

Dinner branflakes with ss milk..its too hot today, dont want 'food' and lvoe cereal was hooked on fattening alpen few weeks ago so bought branflakes instead nowsmile...how does that sound?..no snacks, no inbetweens, didnt eat anything with kids while out today(had picnic and visited mams who has hoards of icecreams and chocs!)

Hiya

Yeah she did get smothered in kisses when i picked her up but she was more interested in mummy's new posh work necklace lol. She was brilliant tho, especially once i'd got her home and gave her her milk. She was absolutely bushed as she hadn't slept this afternoon but went out like a light tonight.

Your menu doesn't sound tooooo bad (i'm just talking variety here) but i think you could do with having some fruit and veg in your menu Pink. Here's what i had today:

Breakfast : 2 x toast and jam

Lunch : Asda snackpot couscous, 1 bread roll, muller light yoghurt

Snacks : 1 banana, 2 apples

Plus water and a couple of cups of tea.

It's quite good for your metabalism if you "graze" all day - on non-fattening things, obviously.

God Pink and RG, you are putting me to shame! It sounds like you are on starvation diets there! And Bran Flakes twice in one day Pink! Nothing wrong with your bowels I imagine!!! grin

I had two bad days after weigh in so am desperately trying to claw some points back today and for the rest of the week. I am feeling very up for it though after buying a pair of SIZE 18 cut off jeans in the Next sale last night! I never honestly thought I would see the day.

Welcome piximon! You sound like a busy busy lady! A stone so far is fantastic especially with a brand new baby on the scene. Keep posting and let us know how things are going for you.

Mamadiva - keep up the good work. Sounds like you are doing exactly the right things to shed that pesky 6 stone!

RG, glad your first day went well back at work.

morning allsmile..glad your first day was good Rgsmile..and well done Ags on your jeans!, next ive foundhmmwink for me anyway are always a quite skimpy fit so a size 18 in their jeans is fan bloody tastic!grin...dp wants us to go buy some clothes for hol in morn, but im holding off a little longer, i would say that im also 18 on bottom now as jeans and trousers are ridiculously big on me and they are a 20..tops has always been on, have some things 16, some in 22!? diff shops i guess.

right well, its obv my day yesterday was pants, who am i kidding corned beef pie is crap food isnt it!..so today have cerreal(not bran flakes, i actually CANT do 'anything' on loo this morn, but have plenty of wind!shockgrin..so think i will have tuna and salad sandwhich for lunch and will do gammon and jacket pot for dinner with tomas, lettuce, onion..i am making cakes with the children today, but if i plan to let them all eat one and take the rest home(dd can have one today then one later as i dont wants hers leaving 'at home'smile

soo fingers crossed i can stick to my word, i eed that will power back i had a few weeks ago, has anyone seen it???

Ags - well done on the size 18s from Next!! I'm still in 24 bottoms and 22/24 tops. blush

Pink - well done for abstaining from the cakes! That must have been reeeeeally hard!!
